I am a bit confused by the vin sticker and some other aspects of the car. The sticker appears to be a replacement and I am not seeing the crinkle paint all 93 and earlier 964's have.
Here is the sticker posted vs a known stock sticker. It looks like a nice example for a reasonable price but is there more we need to know?

It is definitely not original- This is a reproduction. Its not the end of the world or a huge deal, maybe the hood was resprayed, they removed original & put this reproduction one. Maybe take a paint meter to the car to be sure it hasn't had paint work, and if it has, again its not a huge deal, most have- but you want to be accurate with your description and not make wrong claims by mistake when someone asks you.

Ok so it does have the crinkle paint which is correct for 1992. Only 94 MY 964's have a clean smooth finish which was carried through to the 993. As Tarek307 noted and is the case the sticker is a reproduction. Could have been replaced for many reasons. Car Bone can make a better reproduction for you but this sticker IMO detracts from the car and throws up red flags. A simple way to confirm this is by comparing it to the duplicate located in the owners manual.
This sticker is one of the first things I look at when inspecting cars for people. Out of the countless ones I have looked at they all looked like the ones I posted. Sometimes new owners removed them along with all the stickers inside the windshield and rear quarter glass because they didn't like them and had no idea they would be pertinent to future sales. Just as someone removed the rear badge.
FYI The tool bag is incorrect for the 964. The tools look to be correct other than the addition of the 24mm wrench which AFAIK is not part of the kit and not listed on the PET. The bag came in two versions for the 964 both had a white interior with either snaps for the earlier cars or tie strings for the later cars. Minor stuff and sometimes a dealer issue but when you look at as many of these as I have you pick up on what came stock with these.
Still a beautiful car. So long as everything checks out it is a great value.
Just realized this car has been discussed before. The interior appears different then the victory pictures, could be the lighting and a leather center console and tray has been added along with the removal of the rear emblem.

I would want to look at the Carfax and also ask for any prior service records to verify the mileage. The interior looks good but without high resolution pictures it’s really difficult to confirm.

Cant really see what you do in the fender. Need to look again on a bigger monitor.
Book shows maint at 6000mi then again at 32,000mi 5 yrs later - not impressive. Not offered any maint history after that.
Doesnt mean it wasnt maintained. Maybe the dealer just didnt show it.
Definitely would need some investigation and a thorough ppi.
Even with a decent ppi,not sure I would be interested at $43K - but I really havent priced these in the last couple of years.

This will be interesting to follow.

I previously would have assumed this would bring all the money on BAT, but some sales have surprised me recently. I wasn't paying attention recently when a 356A driver with non matching #'s went in the $60s. But if its been for sale for a while, I assume the reserve is that of an owner that has been chasing the market down...
