That's how they ordered them back then so that's what's on the market today, that's why there is a market premium for other colours.

Cobalt, I agree with you. but....I think you are giving people that are trying to sell Porsches too much credit. You and I have been Porsches for a long time. I am amazed at the "For Sale" ads and how they describe the car for sale. Everything from calling a car a color that Porsche never produced, to calling a 1974 911 a flatnose turbo OEM. I can find descriptions wrong in more than 1/2 the ads.
I agree the headliners were a triple option in an ad and I appreciate you bringing that to my attention. But you have to agree that ads these days are nothing close to perfect.

Interestingly I know of a signal green 964 that sat for 2 years at a local dealership after the introduction of the 993 because nobody wanted it because of the color. Sadly the car eventually sold for very little and the car is now a rarity and highly desirable. Who knew back then?

I take affront to red not being discussed as 'a jelly bean color'. ![popcorn](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/popcorn.gif)
...Besides, *I* call such beauties (as mine) 'the M&M colors'.
(Vending machine M&Ms don't contain black or white nuggets, but plenty of red, blue, green, yellow, orange, and, ahem, brown -- you know, M&M colors!)

I am going to start calling my color " Viagra Blue " LOL !
And when I bought it 2 1/2 years ago, it sat on Craigslist for months with no buyers. How things change...

Price seems nice. I don't know the seller, so buyer beware.

Thanks for the info Cobalt. Always good to hear the history of Porsche and how things have worked over the years. Too bad I wasn't around for that signal green 964 you were talking about as I would love to drive that around for the rest of my life. Cheers.
