Somebody needs to jump on this before all the vultures pick that seller apart.
1990 C2 Coupe, Baltic/Linen, 105K miles, $28K http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsc...ltic-blue.html

EDIT: Nevermind... Not surprising that it sold in less than 2 hours.

I somehow managed to call the seller first and we have a verbal agreement on the car....but he said as we were on the phone he was getting calls constantly. Car has no major issues and seller was very agreeable to a PPI. Hopefully, I'll finally snag this one after over a year of looking!

And as I feared, he has backed out and is planning to sell it to someone else.

Called and messaged the guy maybe 10 minutes after it was posted and guy said he already had a pending sale.
This is just getting ridiculous..

Not surprising. When a deal is good and the sharks are circling, stalling for a PPI is usually the kiss of death. Most sellers will go with the sure thing. Wouldn't even surprise me if he was offered more than his asking price.

Yep, I assume he was offered a value in the thirties very quickly and the car will pop back up for sale at premium in the near future.

It's going to a good home and will be driven like it should be.

This market is crazy. I put it up for sale on Wednesday night and had a ton of PMs yesterday morning. It's been sold to someone in NY. Full price, sight unseen, says he's not a flipper or broker, but who knows?

It's not realistic to go on like this, there's a bubble. I priced it fairly according to what I thought the market and condition of the car warranted. I may have gotten more, but I don't think it's right. I bought the car 5 years ago with the intent of selling when it got around 90k miles on it and that's what I did, fortunately I am the beneficiary of this insanity.

I'm be buying a 2007 Cayman to replace her, but I will miss that car...

Good luck,

Vin

"Branded"/Salvage title. Not sure what the difference is, but probably making people think twice. After all, it was stolen 2x, and that's what Carfax shows, can't imagine what it's not showing.

Whoa! Missed that. Although a salvage title due to theft wouldn't bother me if discounted appropriately.

Crazy how the values are going up like this. It makes me wonder what mine is worth. Granted it's a C4 cab, but it does have a 3.8L with zero leaks, and 78K miles. I bought it 15 years ago with 30K miles for $30K.
