What's sad about a car like this that due to the rising values of 964's, this car will sit in a garage and never be driven.....then go to an auction in a few years and be sold for $250K, now that part may not be so sad.

It's got 8700 miles on it. Seems like someone has already been sitting it in a garage. It's never gotten a decent runaround.

Not even a photo of the rear or side. Not sure what people are thinking when they make some listings

holy moly! Great to see so much interest in these cars at the same time it is a shame that many will just sit in garages as they are too expensive to "enjoy" for some!

I've said it a number of times. It makes me quite irritable that so many are buying these cars to collect and pushing the prices so dang high. These are not stamps or coins, and do not belong in a collection. So many enthusiasts are getting priced out of the hobby it is sad.

944's are still cheep. As are 914's and 928's...and actually quite a few big bumper 70's 911's and early 80's...

Further...reality has it that a good 964 can still be found under 35k...cuz I just found one for a friend and we pick it up in a few weeks...

It's really only the special cars, low miles, and the weirdly high prices for the RS Americas that are going nuts...even if you didn't look too hard, you are still sub 40k for most 964's. Maybe another year things will be completely different. I'm not selling mine till someone offers over 100k. Cuz for 100k, I could have an SC, a 914, and a 928 GT and have money left over to sort them out...

Agreed I have a hard time justifying taking mine out anymore. It takes some of the joy of owning it away.

It is IMO already at the point that unless you own one you are SOL unless you can find a project car and build it the way you want which is becoming much harder.

When you consider what they sold for new 914's have eclipsed the 964 in value. My 74 2.0L 914 I restored sold for almost $25k it was a $6900 car new. 914-6's used to be $20k cars now they can bring as much as $85k even SC's have more than doubled in value along with a decent 928GT in the past two years. Two years ago decent condition versions were in the low teens now try finding a trouble free one for under $28k and I would expect them to be more in a years time.

993 - 964 / 2 + 935 = Porsche 979.5 or rounded up to what should have been the transition car between the 964 and the 993 = Widebody 980 Coupe

Not as bad as I was expecting either.

Here is one.... a bit pricey but nice looking car.

http://www.intersportautosales.com/1...7/Details.aspx

They have a 91 C4 Coupe too which is even more expensive on a relative basis.
