I tossed my informal offer to him within 1/2 hour of his posting. Owner seems like a good guy -- said his inbox was already filling up. Hope it ends up with one of "us", but I'll guess who'll get it and that we'll see it at $45K in a month or less.

Came across a nice silver/red C4 coupe with a 3.8L upgrade at Lucky Driver Sports Cars in Miami. Not perfect but a very acceptable example. I believe the seller was looking for $40k or so. No affiliation.

Thanks everybody for the nice words! After 3 months of checking everywhere every day, I'm excited about moving to the next (more fun) phase. I'll post an intro in the main forum soon. It's true about Baltic Blue; it looks darker and flatter in photos.
