Selling for $145k. That is one hell of a flip!

Does anyone know the backstory of why the cars were sold the way they were? I think I remember Anthony saying they were heavily tracked but not sure.

If that was the same car IIRC it was in far rougher shape when they sold last. I must assume that the car was reworked somehow to bring that kind of money and sold at that price based on miles.

Right or wrong, I feel the exact same way. Also had 2 near shady instances out of the Bronx.

Having grown up in NY I would agree that there are an abundance of dishonest dealers.

Branded titles can be scrubbed in Florida and made to disappear.

Absolutely NOT saying that is the case with any of the cars on Rennlist. Was told that by a dealer friend of mine in Illinois

Didn't know you were from the East Coast. We were neighbors at one point. Seems on PAR with my experiences but there are some honest dealers

A friend of mine sent pictures of a 94 turbo being sold at Mecum that came out of FLA. I recognized the car immediately and the poor repair job. It had a clean title at the auction but when I had seen it 10 years early in Yonkers the car had been stolen, trashed and was in the process of being parted out. It already had an S title prior to this.

I understand the literal title can be replaced with a standard non branded/salvage/rebuilt title... but you can't remove the damage reported from the vehicle history report (Carfax, etc), assuming the damage happened after they began collecting data, correct?

Same here. My 87 Targa and 993 both had undisclosed issues and were Florida cars. Never again personally.

Heck, I've had bad experiences from there just trying to buy a battery charger for my recently-acquired 964. From ebay and from Walmart.com. Both transactions got canceled after the "sale." Both times the sellers wound up being from FL.

since so many 964s were driven early on - being the stepchild - mileage like this is indeed rare. 109k? no. he's reaching, but at least it's not a dealer who can just sit on it keeping an example out of the mix.

^^^ I guess they saw the cars Isringhausen is selling for similar money so priced it accordingly.https://www.isringhausen.com/Invento...&q=964&sort=1d

Although recent lower mile targa sales have been creeping up dramatically with several selling for over $50k with considerably more miles.
