The car was offered back to me by the guy that bought it. Probably 2 years ago now. The engine had seen some action and required a top end rebuild. I declined for a variety of reasons and, believe it or not, "lack of pollen filter" was high on the list. My seasonal allergies have gotten progressively worse over the decades as CT continues to increase in wooded area. When I was a kid, CT was about 20% treed and 80% open (mostly farms). Today it's reverse (all tree cover, not just the 61.6% forest area quoted in studies), so the oak and maple pollen count is off the charts.
Connecticut has the highest percentage of forest cover in the nation with 61.6% of its urban areas under the cover of trees, according to the USDA Forest Service’s recently published report, “U.S. Urban Forest Statistics, Values, and Projections.”

993 and newer for me in this environment, thus the 1997 C2S and the 2012 997.2 C2S.

After all that searching for a 964 sorry it didn't work out for you. Although I think Dan is a great mechanic and does wonderful work I have never seen a realistic leak down test done by him. 0% out of anything but an F1 engine is impossible. He tested a car for me showing 1 and 2% when I did the test it was closer to 3-4% but still a strong engine.

Boy I wish that was for sale at these prices today.

Agree. My bro had a 993 PPIed there 5-6 years ago just before the values took off and leakdown came back with one cylinder low. It was just explained as probably a piece of carbon stuck round the seat of the valves. No bother to take it out for an Italian tune up and retest.. Gotta fill the coffer for racing season and nothing else really mattered.

Great example of the best production car Porsche ever built.

I personally know the owner. A very knowledgeable long time Porsche enthusiast.

I suggest reaching out to him if at all interested.

Anyone in AZ need to take a ride in a RS let me know. Caution. The last 2 guys that drove my car bought one. They are that good.

Seems nice but why all the paint? Those are some heavy coated panels if not some bondo at 22 mils especially for the miles.

Car probably flew off the Nurnberg ring doing what what it does best End of the day it has paint work but no major damage detected from the bottom up. Most of these cars have paintwork. I would have no idea why the high readings. Maybe The painter liked it thick ha.

To my eye something doesn't add up with the car. The bottom tells one story the paint another. 22 mils usually means bondo or one very heavy handed painter. I'm assuming the car is part single stage and the rest base clear. In either case it warrants investigating especially at these prices. The underside looks too clean and the cosmoline doesn't look like any we see here in the US. If it was driven on the track it wouldn't look as it does from the underside. I suspect whatever the coating is is fresh after an extensive cleaning and who knows what else.
