The more recent the rebuild, the more it would impact this. a rothsport rebuild 10,000mi and 4 years ago wouldn't stand out to me beyond the vital signs of a leak down and compression test. But it only takes one buyer to put value in something like that for a deal to come together...

For a stock rebuild look at the hourly rate of the shops doing the work. The parts are all sourced from one of several places and prices don't vary that much. Although a reputable shop will charge as much as $200 an hour while a lesser known shop might see $125 or so. A large part is labor. Custom builds are an entirely different animal and you need a build sheet showing what was used & done. This can add up quickly. Although I know some great engine builders that do stock builds that are on par with the better known shops and don't charge half as much. I don't care who built it, how it was broken in and how the current owner took care of it means as much IMO. You can destroy someone's great work quickly if you don't allow these to properly break in after a full rebuild. Seating the rings & valves properly is critical and I see some of these better known shop not do such a great job at that. The build was excellent but just handed to the customer without a proper break in. Any used engine should have a leakdown and compression test done by a knowledgeable tech before considering buying never mind paying a premium for.

Default Custom Rebuild- Value

It's the combination of the pedigree of the builder, mix of parts and end result in terms of driving pleasure and performance that dictate value imo

some rebuilds are purely focused on performance without regard to power delivery and character

to get it truly right takes patience, perseverance and the guidance of expert craftsmen- something which most are unwilling to avail themselves of due to too big an ego or too small a wallet.

Sorry, was late and was tired. I was trying to figure out if I was missing some awesome feature that makes the seller think a race car with a 993 body is worth 94k.

Another one from Tarek307, Thoughts on pricing? Is this a ROW? Never even knew this stone color existed, looks nice.

Pricing looks right based upon the work done and condition. It’s not ROW, the previous owner added the lights on the fenders. Stone isn’t a common color, although mine happens to be painted the same color

The color on your car looks very nice. The vids of this car show the color very well. Thats a decent amount of work on that engine and suspension. Seems like a fair price.

WTB: C2 Coupe manual.

-High miles ok!
-Needs TLC ok!
Would like Black... on Black.. But not too picky.

If anyone knows a WB for sale, I’m looking at adding one rather than converting mine.

Would prefer a converted C2 with steel fenders to a Factory C4. Prefer similar mods to mine over stock. Driver with mileage is fine.

Any color but silver... Prefer blues, yellow, or orange.
