on a side note, I don’t think a lot of these cars belong in a thread titled “great” American 964s for sale. While I generally think all 964s are great, some of the examples posted make me cry a little

1992 Carrera C2 Tiptronic
I love our Guards Red over Classic gray leather '92 Carrera running on 7.5" x 9" 17" Cup Wheels. Exterior is original paint and shows minor wear even through the car has 116k documented miles on the numbers matching engine and transmission. No dents or vehicle accident history (CarFax will attest to this) and as expected no rust or defects.
The interior is Classic Gray which includes everything from the headliner to the dashboard and steering wheel. Additionally the center console is wrapped in full leather and has a special wishes option of the handbrake surround in gray leather.
Recent maintenance performed in the past 1000 miles includes;
The engine runs extremely well and does not smoke at startup or at all. Oil pressure is 1.8 at idle under operating temperature and goes to 4/5 bars in the rest of the RPM range. I purchased the car to try out the Triptronic and found that the way Porsche implemented the transmission maps (there are 5 maps controlled by a myriad of dynamic sensors) makes this car a pleasure to drive in a variety of conditions: from touring on the highway to spirited driving up the canyon and in the hills. The Steve Wong chip has given the car a noticeable bump in performance in all ranges (I've run the chips on my backdated '88 911 as well as my older '86 Targa).
If you are a serious buyer who wants to purchase and excellent condition no stories C2, then please contact me with any questions or requests for additional pictures. Please visit the car's Facebook page which has many photos and details about the cars history ( https://www.facebook.com/pg/911welt ).
I'm in the process of finding the next car to add to my collection and unfortunately I need to sell our C2 to make room in the garage.
Serious inquires with the car being offered at $46,500. I am located in Northern California.

Recent maintenance performed in the past 1000 miles includes;
- Uprating the original stock suspension to new Billstein B6 dampers with Vogtland racing springs set to european factory ride height. At that time I also had the suspension mounts replaced (front & rear) with OE mounts. Original suspension comes with car.
- Original motor mounts were upgraded to original equipment RS engine mounts which contribute to the sports purpose feel and handling when combined with the uprated suspension.
- Transmission was fully serviced and operates as expected across all five (5) factory shift maps.
- CV joints serviced.
- Fabspeed Carrera primary bypass installed (original muffler comes with the car)
- Fabspeed Carrera Intake installed (original intake cover comes with the car)
- Steve Wong chip installed (original factory chip comes with the car)
- Schnell CAT bypass pipe as well as OG catalytic converter come with the car (both with O2 sensors)

Guards red with gray, it's a tip, has over 100k miles. Price is about right. My guess is not sells.mid 40's.
Tarek had a GR with gray manual with 110k on it that sold in the mid 50s. that car had a manual.
there are a couple nice C2 tip coupes in other colors on the market for about that price.

I believe there’s someone here on Rennlist looking for a 964 Tip, you might do a search in for sale section for a WTB Tip.

If you look at that tiptronic from an objective standpoint , there aren't many tips for sale, and surely there is a segment of people who want to buy a tip, it will take longer to sell but if its a well sorted out clean car which it seems to be, i think you may be able to to get good $$ for it, you will just have to be patient and wait for the right buyer.

I am a bit confused by the vin sticker and some other aspects of the car. The sticker appears to be a replacement and I am not seeing the crinkle paint all 93 and earlier 964's have.
Here is the sticker posted vs a known stock sticker. It looks like a nice example for a reasonable price but is there more we need to know?
