Friend of mine and I have noticed 964 prices have been softening lately....
Of course I overpaid looking back. My luck.... But I’m also OCD about interiors and haven’t seen a clean black on black since I bought mine....

No affiliation: went unsold at 57K highest bid: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/19...ign=2018-08-17
The car probably handles awful with the mixed up suspension and the engine could use a good detail and drive to see where the leaks are coming from. A full repaint etc. Car is worth more than $57k but the seller needs to fix a number of things first.

I think the market in general has softened a bit but it also surged too much, too quickly.

I am surprised if it is his but possible. He knows these cars as well as anyone and I hate to say it but some rookie mistakes made. (No offense) Give me this car for a few days and it would have shown as a different car, too late now it is there for posterity. From what I see it is a decent enough example and will be a decent driver for a while once cleaned up and the little things corrected. When it hits the 200k mile mark I would drop the engine and do a full 3.8 ITB build it would make a great driver.

Yes, that was a carI listed but it was a car I was selling on behalf of a customer (consignment) and he wanted to sell the car mostly as is (we made some small changes). If I would have owned the car I would have approached the sale slightly different, but ultimately it was his decision to make. With that said, I was willing to sell it as the owner gave me free reign to honestly represent the car and give a fair pro's and con's list to any potential buyer. My preference is to sell closer to perfect cars, but I am ok to sell less than perfect cars IF I can honestly disclose what is wrong and they are HONEST cars. Imperfect but honestly represented cars are ok in my book, whats NOT ok are the vast array of Porsche's being sold in the marketplace being represented as nice and good cars that simply aren't. Drives me crazy!
Good news is the car sold shortly after the BaT auction closed for a fair price for both the buyer and the seller.
