Having a ding on the Carfax is an issue in my book. Having a Porsche hit in the rear could be a bigger issue. The seller says "it's in darn good shape for a 30 year old car", which translates into, don't expect it to be perfect because it's old. I have always wonder about cars on EBAY, if they are good cars with a reputable owner, I would think selling it from a Porsche related site. Finally, I am being picky, but things like the "complete" overall for the a/c and now it doesn't work. Wouldn't most people go back to the person that did the work and have it fixed, or was it subpar work to begin with? This car needs a complete PPI, as well as a personal visual inspection. "caveat emptor"

Good looking car for sure, curious to see how long it lasts.

It is frustrating that in their description they still knock the 89 - early 91 964’s as a means of saying their car is better. Anyone familiar should know that the issues on the earlier cars have all either been addressed or the car will be leaking like a sieve, either way it would be obvious to a buyer unless they’re completely unfamiliar with air cooled cars.

This one is all kinds of awesome other than the price tag however it's being sold by "those guys" so will certainly warrant a thorough PPI.

Just spending 30 seconds looking at the pictures and I found half a dozen issues with the car. Definitely a car that should be seen in person by a person of knowledge. I also wouldn’t trust some of the local PPI shops in Miami, I have seen first hand and heard of instances where obvious issues went unreported, collusion of sorts.

I don't have as keen an eye as many here but I don't doubt you in the slightest knowing their rep.

What exactly does 'those guys' mean? Have nit had any experience with them but as they are local to me always see some interesting cars being advertised. Never bought from them though. Can anyone share their experience if at all? Thanks.

There's also a video.
Install narrow trailing arms and deep dish wheels and you are set. Such an awesome shape.

I do not wish to speak ill of anyone on this plat form. But i will share may experience. I had been looking nationwide for a very clean all original C2 couple manual. these guys have a way of finding 911s. they always have cars, in various condition. they listed a '93 C2 coupe with 44k miles advertised as "all original car" with "all original paint". Price started off at $78k. I waited to see if anyone would pay that, and after about 3-4 weeks, i contacted them and made clear that i was a buyer ready to pull the trigger. We agreed on $74k. I made clear that for that price, this car must be amazing and they said it was. I searched and found a reputable Porsche specialist to do the PPI. Long story short, the mechanic said that the cleanest used 964 he had ever seen had come from these guys, however this car wasn't that! the mileage was very low, and the car ran excellent, however it had some paint work which was rather obvious to the mechanic and the cars overall condition was sorta rough. I wasn't happy, because, felt very strongly that the paint work should have been disclosed up front ! I would pay that price for a perfect car. A good car with paint work, would have a "6" in front of it. needless to say that I didn't buy the car. They refunded my deposit which was good and professional. To give you an ides of the market, the car was sold the next day and shipped to VA. They said they sold it for $78k. I would buy a car from them, but i would make sure that a reputable Porsche Specialist goes though the entire car and if necessary, I'd have a body shop check the car. Hope this is helpful to you.

There are a bunch of stories out there. Goes without saying do your due diligence if you're looking at purchasing a car from those guys.

Default Great Canadian 964 Turbo S Package Car

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Porsche-911...Na6P6p&vxp=mtr

Wow! Hard to believe this is a Canadian Turbo S Package Car. But it does have the C36 country code and is stated on the CoA. Canadian 964's typically have the speedo in kilometres; however, this one has it in miles? Wonder if it was changed when brought to the US?
