I think anyone that is part of this community and is a Porsche enthusiast would do a little research before he put his car for sale.

Based on your comment, if I bought Apple stock 10 or 15 years ago, I should be selling it for a discount from the market today for a quick sale? What person would do that?

I agree with the last post.

It was a weird ad too. He didn’t even know/ list the mileage on one of the cars. Why wouldn’t you just take a peek at the odometer before listing as that’s the most basic of questions that a buyer would have? No mention of any maintenance on anything, tons of questions to be answered. Surprising that a longtime RL member would post an ad that short on details. Something definitely feels “off” with this one.

We are talking about cars not stock. We all have our opinions.

I have a feeling this deal is legit. Cars seem to have been stored for awhile. Who knows what they need to be sorted or actual condition. Worth the gamble if you have the cash / time.

That cars been on Pelican for about a month for $48k obo. Surprised there haven’t been any takers. Throw some Martini graphics on it and it would be worth $90k.

I almost bought that one a year ago when he wanted 10K less for it, and only stopped due to a not good leakdown on one cylinder after a recent rebuild (and it looks like he's rebuilt it again since).

I thought it'd be up my alley since i love WB and wanted a dual purpose track car. However, it's an ex race car and still falls too much on the race car side. I would've had to sink a lot into it to undelete all the things, do the WB properly (steel), put new doors on it since those were stripped and supports cut to fit a full cage, and then paint it all..

I waited instead and picked up my current car for much less than that one would've cost me, with everything working, needing nothing, and almost every mod I wanted already done. I definitely feel like I made the right decision, though that midnight blue WB does still call to me.

^^ I forgot that the car had fiberglass WB parts - I'd say that's the part that hurts the most....but I have to say, in todays market - a running, somewhat presentable car seems like it should go quick in the 40s.

2 wide body for $98,000 too good to be true, either the cars have major issues and will cost a fortune to fix, or someone just hit the lotto, but that’s not likely

IIRC the two WB C4's were converted to RWD and tracked extensively. Not sure if he put everything back to original or if they were sold as is.
