1. ROW car is not better
2. having bought nearly 100 cars, i noticed ppl use the term "major service" very very loosely. if the engine is not removed and split, it isnt a major service in my book
3. brian go take a look at those two ROW cars then come see mine. then you will know what is considered a "good" car. at $90k, it needs to be perfect.

Before I move down to Venice at the end of the month, I'll need to swing by the warehouse to check out your 964 and maybe go for a ride in your CGT 🤗

Mooty,
Will you have your 964 at Luftgekuhlt?
I'll be there on Sunday (no car) and would like to see it and meet the RL guys that are there.

Like Mooty aka Jesus says.....finding a 964 that is sorted is near impossible.

My mint car was nice. Then I spent $20k with Rothsport to make it mechanically perfect. The list of what it needed was 3 pages long.

Now i have a perfect driving 964. I just need to spend another $15k in paint. Ha.

I am well north of $100k in my car and it's worth every penny.

the row car is marginally better. ex: lowered, fog lights on the rear, better headlights. cost you 2-3000 bucks to replicate these features.

Most US cars have suspension and lights updated by now. Prior to the 964 the ROW cars had extra power and features not offered to the US. If the ROW had factory 30 extra HP, seam welded tub or factory Sun roof delete, I would consider it. I wouldn't buy a ROW car unless I could not find a good US spec first and I wouldn't pay extra for it. There are some decent sunroof delete RSA's I would consider first.

You can take it to Fallbrook and spend $45,000 on paint... see CPR Classic... Fallbrook CA thread.

For $45k I hope it is a full bare metal restoration all inclusive with new headliner and anything else you can think of.

Are they changing the headlights on these ROW cars from Japan? As they wont be correct for driving on the right side of the road.

This is so accurate. A lot of people say "sorted" when there's a lot left to do.

I run both of mine with Japan lenses. It might **** off a passer by a little because they shine into traffic but it's not that bad. Lights work fine from a driving perspective.

LHD H4 lenses are under $100 and easy to replace. You could probably sell your old ones too.

Cool ROW 1993 964 C2 10.6K miles Sunroof Delete LHD

Gentlemen,
If anyone is interested I have a direct local lead on a practically new Manual MIZWA ROW 1993 964 Carrera 2 Guards Red/Black Sunroof Delete with 17,102Kms on the Odometer. (10,688 miles). Guards Red/Black. I checked out the car, sat in it and started it cold, it is practically new. Paint is perfect and Interior is flawless and leather smells like new. Sunroof Delete and all the good stuff. Engine Bay is as clean as can be. I already have a 964 so not on the market, plus Red is not for me. Only other 964 I would look into is a Targa so if anyone has a lead for that (non red) let me know.

If you are interested in this ROW 964 please send me a PM. Owner is asking $110k OBO. No affiliation just looking to facilitate.

Some Pics I took below:

Wow. That won’t last long...
wondering why, if it’s a ROW car, KPH speedo etc. does it have the US bumperettes?
nice collection in that garage. Where is the car located?
