Tarek, love that targa. I was thinking about it because I saw the potential in it(not only value but what can be turned into with some cool mods). I told my friend about it. he's looking for an earlier targa in silver but I told him to get this one instead. Let's see if that happens!

Maybe if you didn't smoke my first air cooled 77 in your 3.2 the way you did on our canyon run, i'd still have it and i'd still be selling 996/997 instead lol

 

I saw that car minutes after the prior owner posted it for sale but thought that I really don't need another car right now. However I regret not pulling the trigger, it is a stunning color combo. Keep it, it'll be cheaper than a shrink to soothe those emotional issues you'll have after selling it.


Honestly, I see nothing wrong with "flipping" a car as long as you are honest about it. If you are lucky to get a car at a great deal, it is your money and your car to do what you wish. People get sensitive here because there are many shady "flippers" who have abused this community.

IIRC, it was advertised for $40K or so and you are now asking $47K (?), still a great deal for someone looking for a rare color combo and $ in your pocket to fund your next project if you sell it. As long as you are upfront and disclose everything you know/found out to any potential buyer, I don't see any issues with trying to sell the 964.

With that said, if you have any liking towards anything old school, you should really consider keeping the 964. It is a joy to drive, and once you properly set it up, you'll smoke AG in your next canyon run.

 

I saw the advertised asking price dropped to $38k, so a guess would be it sold closer to $35k. It does have 150K miles on it.

Either way, he's pretty much hedged at what he paid for it.
