I never thought I'd ever lust over a Flachbau! Well as the saying goes, never, ever say never.

No affiliation - 1993 Red/Tan C2 Coupe w/ 114k miles - clean history, wrong wheels (993 chromed) but worth a look at $38,500

The Red 1993 looks like a nice deal. If it were closer I would be very interested.

This car doesn't do it for me. I dont like the look of the flachbau. Now they made a bunch of Turbo S "Package" cars which had all the goodies but without the flat nose. I used to see a couple for sale in the 200's. I imagine they're heading to 7 figures these days.

I agree with you about the package cars vs the flachbau. Although when you're around one for a while they do grow on you. I had several friends who have owned them. A 17k mile black over full leather gray one was offered to me for $130k a few years back by a friend. Kicking myself but it IMO looks far better in person than the pictures and the tail is the best Porsche ever put on an aircooled 911.

There is some info on the 964 Turbo forums IIRC there was a low mileage one that sold deep into the 7 figures.

I was at the Porsche Museum in 2011 when they had the 25 jahre of Porsche Exclusive display with a red 964 3.6 Turbo S flachbau and the museum's yellow 964 3.3l Turbo S within proximity of each other. The flatnose car loses so hard in that side-by-side comparison.

Yellow car > red car

The flachbau look is part of the 911 evolution from the 964 to the 993 platform.
