Not sure how constructive your comment is, but if you don't find this thread valuable, then don't read it. I hope your MEME creation time was enjoyable though...
Not sure why you would laugh at someone being 2 hours away from the seller. If anything, that is the easiest way to sniff out a scam. I've had 2 leads passed to me in the last week from this forum. Scams stink. But they are part of life...

This guy posted on the 964 page saying he won't take 23.5 and has been offered 28k. Wonder if it will sell, I wouldn't even consider a salvage title. But I am not in the market either.

This '89 at Luxsport was on my local craigslist this summer for upper 30s, and it was evident that it had seen track use. Looks like lux has now put it back to stock. Heads up to potentials.

Not sure what all this drama is about... Here are some facts:
-Since I was a little kid car dealers were known as dirty..even if they were fancy. Buying a car is a big investment, and if you put all your trust and faith in a dealer, that is/always have been a huge mistake.
-Porsche's have always been expensive to buy/repair. There are many dirty people in the industry who capitalize on this.
-Because of this expense, a newbie should always have some who can help them buy a car.
-Dealers have been buying up good cars, and adding huge markup. If you want said car do your due diligence, and pay this tax. You pay for the work the dealer did finding the car. I do hate the fact that some good cars stay out of enthusiats hands.
-If you do not want to pay high retail, do not complain about records. These cars are getting older, and lots have been put away/records lost. I have bought many cars which had service records, by a supposed expert. Then gone over a car, and the records do not match.
-These cars are now worth being restored, and reinstated. For example I posted that green convertible. I have been all over the car and do not have a record for it. I do have pictures of pulling the motor etc. I have been all over the car and know what it is more than a dealer with some so called records. A ppi can prove what I have done.
Basically buying and selling cars has always been a slimy business. There are good people in the hobby, and stick by those people. If you want full record car, make sure its gone over(PPI). Some cars can even be brought back now without losing one shirts on the cars value.
