Where do people get Carrera or Porsche door vinyls? Does anyone make good two tone one like Singers?

Looking for ideas on how to break up more of the silver.

How should I water proof (prevent rust) in a hole drilled in the floor? This is a lesson in do not do work on a car after a 90 hour work week. I thought the track floor boards needed holes drilled on the side mounting points but that's what the rubber pieces are for. Doh!. I filled it with RTV sealant for the moment but want to make sure I don't risk rust developing in the future.

I like to clean the rough edges and apply some Por 15 allow to dry and then some paint to seal.

Replaced my air filter tonight and noticed my snorkel is a little loose in its fitting on the filter box. Is this normal?

Also, to people who have RS door panels and lower dash delete (losing glove box), where do you keep things in your car? Spare DME, registration, etc.

The air filter has a vacuum reservoir on the back that enables the air intake butterfly to open/close at 4000 rpm. See post #12 in this thread

Air flow muffler : what is this thing for? It seems early years with mag manifolds did not have it.

https://www.fvd.net/us-en/9641106520...-manifold.html

can I just tap the 2 holes and remove it?

Are these the correct replacement wedges that end up disintegrating over time (the ones responsible for directing airflow to the oil cooler)? There's a top and bottom denotation in the name, so I assume you need both:

A little loose, yes, very, no.

DME is in the trunk. That's where it lives anyway so no reason to have it in the cabin. Registration, insurance, etc are in the leather manual book which is under the back of passenger seat.

I have a RS tray in the cassette spot that holds wallet and sunglasses case.

I have the RS cubby where the spoiler control goes (RSA tail) that holds ear plugs, headphones, and EZ pass.

I do wish I had a pocket in the RS card or an airbag spot glove box like I have seen on many cars so the console stuff can be hidden, but I never park it anywhere Im concerned about an EZ pass or old Ray Bans being stolen so no big deal.

@Ralph3. Thanks!

Anyone know how to remove the mirror adjustment piece? There was a tutorial that showed how but I can't find it.

Well this is a question I'd be embarrassed to ask anywhere else. When washing your 964, how do you manage soap/suds and then water from rinsing the car getting through the grille and onto the engine?

I don't worry about it since it just drains out at the bottom. Any remaining water will evaporate the minute you run the engine for a few minutes. Rain gets in and out the same way. Maybe avoid hitting the engine with a high pressure washer but other than that, no problems.

Why did Porsche do away with the side jacking points for the 964 onwards? Jacking up my SC with the side plate is easy as can be without worries about jacking under the engine, having the car be off balance, etc. Oversight on Porsche's part, methinks.
