So It Begins

Hi Guys,
She's now been completely detailed and previously I thought this was quite a lot of money to spend on a wash 'n wax but I now realise it's been money really well spent. I really can't thank Chris at www.tdinternational.co.uk enough, he spent 4 full day and 3 nights until 11:00pm tirelessly bringing my car up to erm, scratch.
The first couple of photos show a scuff mark on the engine lid from a careless mechanic and the bonnet with sundry fine scratches typical of the rest of the bodywork, through 20 odd years of driving and cleaning etc.
The GTechniq range of products Chris uses, the hard laquer finish is guaranteed for 5 years. Check out the reflections on the roof:
Cheers,
Paul

Looks amazing! I've been thinking of doing this to mine. But also thought the same about spending that type of coin for a "wash". But I will take the plunge one of these days. Maybe after I do a few other mods, it'll happen. Car's a real looker now Paul!
Man that looks sooooo good! Love your car sir
Absolutely beautiful Paul... Your car is my goal one day soon. Very, very nicely done...
That does look lovely, trouble is you've got to keep it looking like that now!
Cracking car Paul

Stunning. Is that the car finished now or are there more mods planned?
Thanks mate! For now I'll be driving it though the summer but I have a new carpet set (black) to go in and then I'm having the dash and door cappings etc., retrimmed in black with white stiching to match the steering wheel.
Also scheduled: Mechanically we're just left with camber plates and top mounts and bushings to sort then we're about done, unless anyone has any bright ideas?
I'm also sort of just going around looking for little jobs underneath the car like replacing like rusty bolts with stainless which is purely cosmetic and will also be done over the winter.
Paul, your car is epic! A story of love and passion. Beautiful!
Looking fantastic!
Talking of cosmetic jobs, I've just replaced the washer filler cap with a new one. Here in the UK PCGB will deducts points from concours for a dirty filler area, not that I'd ever win anything anway as they don't like mods
I've also had the boot carpet re-trimmed as it never fit correctly after the strut-brace was installed, I should have taken the photo after I'd vacuumed it though
Cheers for now,
Paul

Hi All,
Just a little update, I've been gathering stuff for the interior upgrade. The new black carpet set arrived a few weeks ago from Southbound. I'm in the latter stages of closing the new leather, seats, dash caps, door cards the works so more on that later.
John, my pal at Heritage Classics in Middlesbrough will be doing all the work since the seats and dash will be completely beyond me. If any of you would like to see his amazing work I've finally persuaded him to open an Instagram account and post his beautiful work up. Check him out on Instagram @johncollins47 and let me know what you think, he's well worth following just for the photos.
Talking of photos I'll shamelessly put a few recent ones on here of my car's features, to date, as we all like a pictcha
Meanwhile, everything else is just waiting....
A day out at Croft with a few of the lads!
A local lad made good, Brian Johnson of AC/DC:
Finally a short vid, spoiled by getting split up, sorry about lack of content.
I hope you are all enjoying your cars this summer chaps
Cheers for now,
Paul
