Soz to hear that. Bedford is probably one of most noise sensitive (along with donington nowadays).

I've got hero 1 & 2. Thoroughly recommend the hero 2. You'd want the Motorsport version.

Can't remember where I got it. Think I google shopped for best price!

I use them sometimes, but only with the westy. You do get max power boys, but they're not as bad as the used to be!

I got mine from a fellow 964er, ChrisW, who runs his own camera equipment company. I get the feeling the price is pretty much fixed where ever you buy from. The Hero2 motorsport pack retails at around £200. Let me know if you want Chris' contact details.

Reason I ask is the hero 3 is out so wasn't sure if people were upgrading or had experience of both. I like the wi fi remote option

Hero3 looks like a good bit of kit. I think you can get the wi-fi remote for the Hero2, would certainly make operation a bit easier, but I fear I'd want to watch the 'stream' rather than out the windscreen!

Looks a very good piece of kit. The 'Black Edition' from what I understand allows you to sync several at the same time - so that one can hit record and all of them attached start recording using the remote. I can see this being a kit I would use for future videos for clients.

A cam operator told me briefly that the frame rate is better, steadiness is improved ( moire and rolling shutter ), low light, over exposure and contrast is better.

I would say the key to this stuff is the screen which allows you to compose the angle and delete unnecessary rushes on the fly.

I've used 'Action Cameras' and had good service. Just make sure you buy a motor-sport addition as it'll come with a suction cup which is always fun.

As a side note - as ever with video, the more footage we have from Spa the higher the production value = the better the film.

Just spotted this thread. I was at Bedford on the 15th Dec too. 101dB static with cup pipe and drilled air box.
Couple of vids - one from inside http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tmJJw...ature=youtu.be
