It is. Nice to hear it's as nice in real life as the pictures. I'm sure you can see the dilemma it creates, perfect in every way but one! I think I will give it a look and see what I think. After all, my last daily driver in the US was an M3 with the DCT and I was dead set against that transmission until I drove one. I realize the tiptronic is many degrees of separation from todays dual clutch boxes but they can't be all bad.

Or perhaps I'm just rationalizing. I have no patience when it comes to finding a car!

If it's a tiptronic and not your cup of tea then a 993 6 speed has to be top of your mod list...

Everyone I've spoke to that have the 6 speed in a 964 swear by them!

Don't get me wrong if your happy with essentially a four speed auto then buy it because it really is beautiful. I know exactly what you mean about being inpatient I'm exactly the same. my wife is genuinely amazing at reality checking me! Worst case scenario is you end up with one of the nicest tips I've seen for a while and there is always a market for tips. But if you prefer manual it will always bug you. Good luck

Ok beware if you are buying from Hendon Way Motors... do a quick google. Very poor rep. Who is selling the car? I was under the impression that it had sold from Hendon Way...

Was owned by a very nice chap/ Rennlister and the car was lovely when I met them both on an L9O Drive & Lunch.

I've googled Hendon Way and their rep doesn't seem great. That said they have some serious stock. is it that they are very proactive (and misleading) with regards obtaining sale or return stock which then ends up irritating the owners of these vehicles because I just can't see how they stay in business selling very expensive rare cars from what seems to be a beautiful facility with a shot reputation unless some people have more cash than sense

The advice and insight is very much appreciated. It's disappointing to hear about problems with this particular dealership. That being said, I think I can deal with the temporary annoyance of that if the car is worthwhile. I'll keep you all in the loop

I have added paddle shifts to my tip box and it has become some serious fun. In auto mode for traffic and paddle shift when the roads open up.

Good (great) idea...I don't have a tip - but I am sure RLers would like to see a picture.

how you settling into Blighty?
I have read that as well as most of the other articles. You guys have done a really, really nice job on that website.

Settling in nicely, thanks. Haven't hit every pub in the neighborhood yet, but we are working on it!

Hopefully will find a car before spring hits or I'm going to really start missing the one I left behind!

eBay listed 'garage find' (if you count being sold by its owner after years of non-running, a find)

eBay item number:201294000561

Wonder if this will get a private buyer or a trade buyer that will fix the engine and try and sell it with the provenance of being a barn find and the accompanying premium.

Also saw this ambitiously priced example...

I think that's the same one that was for sale about 2 years ago at a Porsche Centre for just under £40K. In fact it looks like he's using exactly the same pictures to sell it on.
