I got the feeling from browsing his site that he was an enthusiast with a lot of nice cars at different price points. There are a lot of dealers that can't tell you much about the shiny objects they sell, would much rather buy from a knowledgeable and reputable source.
Believe me, I noticed the car you referenced, gorgeous example. Never have cared much for Guards Red, but that car could make me a convert. The problem is, even though I'm relocating to the UK, I'm still hung up on the dollar to pound conversion. I realize that's nonsensical really, but its going to take me a while to get over it

Oh, and if I haven't found a car by march 1st can I bring the wife's Volvo?

Many, many pages ago in this thread there was a GR C2 noticed for sale, privately at sub £20K. It was snapped up by a dealer within a few hours. It's now up for sale again:

By all means, we're open to all. In fact I show up in a Mk3 golf when mine's on sticks. Hell we've had a VW transporter show up

Everyone up north knows Peter

He's a good guy and knows his Porsches

Btw, pretty sure the 964 he's selling is a different one to the £20k one that was for sale recently unless I'm getting mixed up with another £20k GR car that was for sale ? I do know it's had a load of work incl complete respray

Does Peter own a very nice old school 911 in Blood Orange?

I know its not a 964 but for someone looking for a RHD C2 manual aircooled Porsche this has got to be a good bet @ sensible ££?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Porsche-99...item46336db1bd

Sports seats, black dash etc and non sunroof makes it a great RS type base. *nowt to do with me.

That is cheap for a 993, even at those miles. You could sell the 964, buy that and then grab a cheap 944 with the change

I'm not so sure. Buyers of 993 are very picky with any car over 100k miles, most/all want perfection, so looking at it condition wise and marmite colour I'd say its (slightly) overpriced. I'd be bidding £22k for it
I was offered a 90k 993 in similar condition for £25k but a dealer stepped in paying £27k saying he would sort the small jobs and retail it @£34k which highlights the spread of what its actually worth and how much a dealer can margin

This has just gone up on the bay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PORSCHE-91...item20f47899bd

122k miles and full history with recent engine build. Looks like it might need a little tlc on the body but otherwise has potential. Not far from me if anyone wants me to check it out

Aside from the examples posted recently, will the spring bring a few more examples to market?

Considering taking my desire to own a 964 further, and wondering how patient I will need to be on the spec and colour compared to my budget. I'm flexible on the colour, would be looking for a C2 ideally that may occasionally see the track but would be a road car primarily and have a budget of up to £35k. Should I be more open for a C4?

RPM have a diamond blue example that looks good photographed in the showroom but what will it look in the wild? Pale blue, or more silver?

Any help appreciated, or links to examples for same.
