Default Another thread - I like Design 90 wheels

I like them cause they're awesome at the track, those things are light and does make a difference.

The other shiny-fancy-expensive wheels are Ok for street but on the track D-90 is the way to go, besides they don't look too bad when the car has the proper stance...

I am switching back to D90's because of 3 points: 1) I already have a set, 2) the PO put on some ugly chrome 18" wheels before I got the car, 3) and lastly, I cannot afford what I want to put on the car. My D90's need refinishing though. Has anyone painted their D90's to a darker color, say pewter? Black would probably be too much, however a dark grey metallic may be okay.

Although they don't look as good as Cups IMO, I can see where you're coming from. I'm toying with picking up a set myself and fitting track tyres to use just for the track. Can you switch between 16 inch D90s and 17 inch Cup1s without having the geo altered?

I could buy the track-argument but can you find D90's in 17" and 7,5 and 9"?

I like D90s as well, but wish they were available in 17" sizes. The ride is just a bit to spongy with 16" tires.

I love the new color... car looks completely different. The color is graphite.

FWIW my mechanic told me that I didn't need to have my car re-aligned after switching from D-90s to 17" Cup IIs.

I switch between 17" Cups and 16" D-90s each winter. And, the D-90s are mounted with snow tires.
