how can you tell if you ended up with the 9" D90s? are they visually different from the face?

look at the back face of the spokes and you will see the specs on the wheel probably something like this 9Jx16 et60 or something similar

I saw some Japanese D90 replicas once...the only difference was the lip. The fakes had a flush lip....

Ok for those who think D90 suck eat your heart (of course it need some intervention but nothing that money can't fix )

The D90s are great for the Sunday parade, especially in chrome finish.

But on the track you will not find a decent tyre. People are switching from 17" to 18" because of the better tyre choices, so 16" would be a real step back.

With higher sidewalls on 16", comfort is certainly better. But steering precision, cornering speed and handling certainly suffer. Also, you are limited to stock C2 / C4 brakes because big reds do not fit within D90s.

I feel 17" Cup 1 are the best compromise for road & track. If you are more track biased, go for 18" 996 Carrera wheels: light, beautiful and available.

My car is on the one on the left with D90s, original right height, flag mirrors, and orange side markers!

1st off the list this spring: changing to H&Rs and Bilsteins original shocks are totally shot.
