Default Looking for a 964 tiptronic

I’m looking for a nice 964 tiptronic should anyone come across. Coupe, Targa preferred but would consider a cabriolet. Appreciate any leads. Please pm or text/call me. I posted in the marketplace and someone hijacked my ad when a seller posted there. 😔
Many thanks!

Color, being a 92 or late MY coupe, overall condition made it a quick sale. Whether it sold for $20k over a C2 price is debatable. I have seen lesser cars sell for nearly as much and supper low mile rare color late MY cars sell for nearly $100k more.

Tahoe is one of the light-mid blue colors I really like for the 964. I like Horizon, Tahoe, Cobalt from light to dark perspective.

I'm currently looking at 997 GT3s, but as someone who grew up in the 90s I love the 964 but would want to upgrade many of the parts.

If I would looking to purchase a 964 to modify into a track/street build (including widebody, welded rollcage, etc), what would be the best place to find value in buying the car? Are 90-92 less desirable? Does the price range stay consistent across most years/conditions? And I do a lot of searching on Rennlist, but any other sites I can monitor other than the usuals (BaT, etc)?

Thanks, guys!

I am seeing prices that are at least double or triple that depending on mileage and year. Can you elaborate?

I was originally looking for a tip as well. There was a big difference in price by about 10k when I started looking 2 years ago. (I just bougth a manual C4 2 weeks ago). I had a verbal to a nice Guards Red Tiptronic for 42k, Cashmere interior, but the guys sold it from under me. I also found another one that was in excellent shape recently for 47K. I get that these first year Tips are not the most sought after, but if you want a beautiful cruiser, do it. If the C4 manuels are going for 60's, then you know the automatics are going for 10k less. Do not pay more than 50k for one. I have been looking and finally pulled the trigger. I was not getting any younger and wanted my dream car. The week I purchased my C4 manuel, there was 2 at Beverly Hills Car Club. One needing motor work for 57k and a good C4 for 65k. Im using that as a guage for an automatic since I cant find one online to show for an example. If C4 manuels are more "desirable" my examples are a good guage. Here is a link for RoadSport in Northern California. Couple Tiptronic for 47.8K Great dealer, nice honest guy. There is my proof as well.

Ok, so Im going to give the the honest truth here and I am sure I am going to get this thread heated. I own 4 911's and 1 mint 944. I know we are talking about 964 COUPES here but I want to talk about Tips and C4's

1) Dont believe the hype, Tips are not that bad. Here in LA, who wants to sit in traffic building a huge left calf muscle. That is not enjoyable. If anyone says it is, they are lying. Dont ever listen to a guy who says never buy a Tip. I caaaaaan't wait to get out of manual and into any automatic after an hour in traffic. Unless everyone here lives in rural parts of this planet they are lying. PERIOD

2) C2's or C4..... Drum roll. Who the f*^! would right now buy a new Carrera S vs. a Carrera 4S if money wasnt a thing. NO ONE. So dont believe that hype either. That one is laughable. All day everyday, any make, no one is passing on an all wheel drive sports car versus a 2wd. Sorry, not drinking the soup. I love my C4 and I wouldnt change it for a 2wd ever, and I'm rich!!! (Chris Rock voice). I chose the 4 cause it is the BEST car betwenn the two. I didnt get it cause the 2wd cost more.

3) Before everyone starts talking about, 'oh they are lighter.' Puhlease!! Lose some weight, kick the passenger out, the difference is not that much. 191 lbs to be exact. (per Car and Driver tests, some tests say 202 lbs) I mean a passenger and depening how much fuel you have in the car play a bigger role between a C2 or C4 weight. Facts are facts guys.

Mr. Tanglewood, I would love to help you find a 964 Tip for the 45k-50k range. Be ready to pull the trigger cause right now 964 prices are climbing fast.

I am sorry John Tanglewood. I have not idea why I thought you were looking for a Tip. Then I went on a rant. No, pay on the low end 65K for a manual C4. Up to 75K for a 2.
