964 Prices

Hi everyone - Hope I'm in the right place here. I'm going to be in the market for a 964 C2 manual in early 2020 and wanted to get some pricing feedback from the braintrust. Specifically not interested in low milage example as I've been advised to get a more used version that has been driven. Would be fine with 50-120k miles but in overall good condition. years 92-94. C2 coupe w or without a sunroof. I'm fine with mods (suspension, exhaust, recent engine rebuild / enhancement) as I'm looking to make it more performance oriented. At first glance these are ranging from 65-85k list but would like to hear from anyone who went through the buying process recently. Are these actual sale prices? Any other recommendations or considerations are very welcome as I'm just getting into my search and I'm by no means a 964 expert.

With buyer preem this is $70k, I am not a red fan (or tan leather) but seems like the $100k perfect 964 is still a way off.

Wow did you end up buying this? Even if it needs a rebuild i would pick it up in a second!!
Thank you for the input golfnutintib. It is amazing what these beautiful cars seem to be going for lately. Much like how my early Bronco has appreciated in the last few years. Here are a couple pictures I took the last time I looked at the Porsche. The battery was dead so we didn’t move it outside of the garage. I am heading down tomorrow to meet with the seller.

93 is very rare
94 you won't find it
sunroof delete there are likely < 30 in USA maybe a lot less
I have not seen $50k 964c2 for a while

Quit worrying about the year, and focus on the condition of the car. They’re all good cars and they’re all almost 30 years old...

1990 964 C2 Targa
manual
100K miles, with motor rebuilt about 12K miles ago
otherwise stock
black/black
no LSD
chromed D90s
plenty of door dings and whatnot up close, but looks good from afar
interior looks just about perfect, though the volume dial on the radio seems to be unifunctional--it only turns it up LOUDER!!!
purchased for $32K
Since the purchase, I've spent a few hundred dollars fixing small things here and there.
I've also discovered that the clutch (with less than 25K miles on it) may be slipping a little, but only sometimes on sudden WOT. Driven normally in traffic, there's no slippage, so I'm going to let it ride for now.
