agree about the turbo. Amazing how many people don’t take issue with a rebuild at 38k, and justify it with just being “old”….
I wouldn't pay the seller a penny for any of their cars. I have seen some serious horror stories from them. They do occasionally have a nice car but even the best I saw had BS things covered up.

That RSA was one of the better cars that Symbolic has represented. I’ve heard him say that he’s sold numerous multi-million dollar cars such as 250 Testa Rossa’s and others. Can’t speak for the quality of those as don’t know which ones they were and knowledge on some of those isn’t extensive. The quality of majority of the 911’s he’s sold haven’t been impressed and not a lot of issues disclosed. I’ve heard him say that if you direct message him on BaT he’ll disclose anything he finds to be correct. I’m not sure how much I believe that as I’ve never seen him do something like that before.

White/cashmere ‘92 C2 Targa. 47k miles shown. $118k.

Car was sitting for some time and needs some work done. Even when on the dealers website the car likely needs some work. I’ve driven past this deal numerous times and looked like a bunch of project cars. Believe it’s changed ownership at some point. Remember Wayne Carini on Chasing Classic Cars visited here and was under previous ownership.

I love these BS artists. Car looks clean has standard issues due to age and is probably an easy flip. $20k maybe but most likely not. If i were the seller I would hold out. Get someone to turn it over to verify it runs, new tires and sell. I helped revive many cars like this and most needed very little. The biggest concern is moisture. It is a RoW targa but still rare car.

I can’t speak to Bill Noon, but take a look at the Chase brothers who started Symbolic (one of whom remains as owner). Criminals, literally.
I’ve said it before - at the end of the day, these are used car salesmen, with all the negative connotations associated with that.

On the Amazon Turbo currently listed….check out this recent comment.

The King of Saudi Arabia’s Chef once owned this car; I won’t publish his name for privacy. The car has had significant track time and was fast for the era. They had no service records because this car was destined to get a cage and become a track car back then. It sold in 2000 for 50K and needed a clutch and smoked like a diesel. I still have the sales flyer, copies of title, pics and a video of this car spinning the tires from rest to 100mph. Amazon is gorgeous. I have no clue what life it’s had since 26,525 miles on odo at the time I drove it. Hope that can add some context to some of the car’s history.

North Anerican spec car with the side marker lights. I personally have never cared for them. Would’ve wanted to have inspected in person or PPI if interesting because of the amount of time it had been sitting and deferred maintenance. Not many good 964 Targa’s (especially MY 1992 and later) around.

Engine rebuild makes sense now. Would want to confirm it’s the original engine. Assume after this comment it’ll be RNM. Zweck was asking $536k last year. Highly doubt it will get to that now with the cars previous history now coming to light.

This is the car I was thinking it was. It was for sale for a long time back when I was looking. The asking at the time was above market due to all the modifications. There are far more amazon 3.6's than people realize. Great color if properly maintained. Finding an honest unmolested 3.6T these days is not an easy thing.

Color isn't that exciting, for me. Could be a nice example for someone. Nice that it is a '93 model. Anyone familiar with the car or seller? They're asking $128k

^^ Looks decent enough although it is odd that the option sticker calls out 741 which is black water base 2 stage base clear and the paint code sticker shows 719 which is a solvent based 2 stage base clear. I don't see a single blemish on the paint which at the miles I find odd. Hard to say if it is original paint and I am not a fan of the aftermarket cup wheels. No underside photos or empty frunk which are needed. Not sure when they started using the .02 Shell sticker. My car is a few vins before this one and it has the .01 version. I know that they switched sometime in 93 so I guess it was not long after my car was built.

A quick google search of the VIN shows it was sold on PCarMarket in 2021 for $78,250.
May shed some light for interested parties:

From those pics I would say TMU and the meter numbers show considerable paintwork more than just the hood and bumpers. Orange peel looks wrong and no way it lived in NY with no rock chips or blemishes. I also like how it was not driven more than 3 miles from 14-15 and only 2 miles from 15-18 to get inspected?? Then suddenly from 18-20 they put 20k miles on it. If I don't drive my cars I don't bother pulling them out for inspection until I am ready to drive them and only a 2 mile round trip??. The filler used for the cracked dash and the dry state of the seat leather pealing gauges, tells me the car was not well treated at one point. Most likely sat in the sun for long periods The windshield was repalced and the seal doesn't sit factory flush. Might be a nice driver for the right price but I doubt this is worth premium dollars based on supposed low miles which I say BS too. Lastly again no empty frunk or underside pictures.
