Autokennel has some very nice cars and they are usually fairly priced. Their cars don’t often sit around long. Don’t think I’ve seen one sit for more than a month. Haven’t heard a bad word said about them.

Agreed - Paul seems to buy great cars, but more importantly, advertises them honestly. I also don't think I've ever seen anything sit for longer than a month, especially recently.

...still has the white plastic front license plate bracket screw retainers in place, and the plastic sheet you place the flat tire in to keep the interior clean; amazing...

LOL I couldn't agree more. I don't see any proof it is built prior to the first 200 red examples and the options he lists are rather common. Mileage is not supper low I have seen lower. I didn't realize the Berlin was so special. I had one I got rid of. I also have the original schematics to the Berlin and Frankfurt radios. Maybe they are worth something if he sells them.

Seems cheap. How long will it last at that price?

Looks incredibly new. Not to bring up the C2 vs C4 again - but what do you think the premium would be if that was a C2 and then too, if it was a later build?

Looks like a very nice car. Don’t often see these with the forged alloy wheels similar to the ones on the 928. Overwhelming majority of the early 964’s have the standard D90’s. Not sure if I like these better or worse. Hopefully with a car this clean at this price it doesn’t get snatched up by Singer or someone else to be backdated.

Agreed. The club sport 944 turbo S/928 style wheel was an option but not many optioned it and they are a lighter stronger forged wheel vs the pressure cast D90's. I have seen several cars in this or similar price ranges go to singer and now other builds. When you are talking $1M what is another $50k on top of a bastardized 964 do to the builders pocket? I know of a recent acquisition using a $104k nice 964.

As far as C2/C4 I don't think it makes much difference these days. It seems condition #1 followed by color and miles, then we get to C2 vs C4 and honestly a solid car is rare these days so if you want be lucky you find a nice example for not too much. I suspect at this price it won't last long unless there is something hiding.

I was told this is the optional forged wheel in 1990?

They look similar with the machined line but the wheels in the podcast are 928/944 part numbers with the square openings. Per the TSB the wheels in the podcast were offered up to 1990 for the C2/C4 and were offered on the 928 & 944 as well. So they would technically be correct for that car being an 89. Light forged wheels part numbers

6 "ET 52.3 944.362.113.00
8" ET52.3 928.362.117.00

The wheels you have do not show up in the TSB's as an approved wheel on the C2/C4. I was surprised not to see it there. I checked all the TSB books from 89-94 and no mention of them being used on the 911 only the ones pictured in the podcast and mostly as winter wheels. This doesn't mean your car wasn't optioned with them anything was possible back then. If you can verify the part numbers I can look into it deeper. To correct myself these would be the standard wheel on the 951/944TS

7" ET65 951.362.115.30
8" ET60 928.362.107.30
9" ET60 928.362.119.30
