Debating selling my 92 Grand Prix White over Marine Blue C2 Manual, well sorted, tastefully modded, almost all stock parts, top end rebuild 30k ago, 113k miles.

Thinking 125-130? Am I in line?

I think you're inline, yeah. There is a tastefully modded black/black C2 for sale currently in the marketplace that is pending, would be great to PM the seller and find out if he got asking.

1990 C4 5 speed in Polar Silver over Dove Grey (raff) std seats. Original paint excepting hood. Books, Records and enthusiast owned its entire life. 93,000 miles. (I owned it from 56k - 73k)

Only modifications are lowered, ugly but factory chrome wheels, aftermarket stereo.

A few known defects like broken slats in the deckled. sunroof wind protector does not retract when closing, little stuff.

Otherwise just needing tires because they are dated and a 90k service.

Fast cash deal price? What should I pay?
I forgot to mention that it is weeping a bit of oil but not leaking and has never had head gasket refreshed or the head studs addressed... $105 seems way high to me... I'm thinking 65 to 75.

Original airbox and exhaust...

I know that Singer is grabbing a bunch of these cars, but to me that just makes replacement parts plentiful...

On BAT cars are selling for less and they are way high! Hmmmmmmmm...

Does anyone have a photo of a recent Excellence market report on 964's?

Best of luck as that would be a very good buy at that price. I know C4’s have been selling lower than C2’s but they seem to be closing the gap. I haven’t seen any MT coupes for sale in the 60’s

You won’t find a MT coupe for under 100k. Singer pays $105 for a usable shell… or so a birdie told me.

there is a 48k mile C4 on BaT that SilverArrows will have to sell for $132k just to break even. Just as a reference point

wow. i'll actually be surprised if that C4 brings in at least $132k. if it does, it might be time to up the policy on my C2.

closing the gap due to availability, i assume. this is a common argument among the 993 WB crowd - the differential between the C2S and the C4S at any given time.

as more and more C2 owners begin to hold, the C4s will rise in comparison. it's an ever fluid situation.

89’s are actually kinda interesting as they were the only US delivered 964’s without airbags (airbags mandatory for 1990), only available as a Carrera 4, and they got a single-mass flywheel (19 lbs vs the dual-masses 30 lbs). Not quite as light as the RS’ flywheel as that came in at 12 lbs. Regardless the 89’s have always been looked down upon.

Yes but the single mass FW was a disaster and exploded over time. The replacement dual mass wasn't much better. It wasn't until they installed the Luk Dual mass that things were resolved. Also the early cars had the gasketless engines. Properly treated engines lasted. Those driven hard cold and put away hot ended up with warped heads, broken studs and other issues. However if you fly cut the heads and cylinders add a crush gasket and you can increase compression and get reliable cup car performance from them.

Getting back to the green car. The rear brakes were upgraded to 4 pot vs the stock 2 pot calipers and it looks like the rear rotors are way under spec. Nice lip on them.

I wonder if some PTS colours are more coveted than others, like this bright green Vs something more subtle like my Linen Metallic
