I was watching the white C2. Figured it would break $100K but not by that much.

Looks like the one I was trying to help import a year ago with a number of other more exotic 911's but the deal went south. I guess they decided to sell after all. Mileage and condition seem to be the same.

$401k is an interesting result of late. one bump above $400k seems to reach a lot of limits. just an observation...

Same thing happened with this Amethyst 3.6 Turbo and did the exact same result as this Clubsport. Full respray would’ve held this car back as a lot of collectors require original paint. Some won’t even consider a car that has had any paintwork. Doesn’t effect how the car drives (unless the paintwork was done for some sort of bad damage), but some demand it. Maybe being a Clubsport held it back as they can be difficult to insure and register in some states as these are race cars and are all RoW market cars. However being a Clubsport unlikely the detracting factor.

Considering a few years ago these numbers were outrageous to most I find it quite encouraging considering our current state of the Union. I saw the Rubystone RS at the Bridge and there is no way that car had the rockers painted ruby stone from the factory and I suspect other very well done paintwork. Adding the clear film makes it hard to tell if anything was done but I have my suspicions and I don't think they are unfounded. There were a number of cars at the Bridge that the sellers claimed were all original paint. Light colors with the lower rockers painted body color. Mismatched paint and strange plugs in locations that clearly had to be painted. When I commented that the paintwork was nicely done they went ballistic on me and swore it was all original. Beautiful cars but the stuff people will say or do to get top dollar is frightening sometimes. Sadly people are a bit too trusting as well.

We just had this problem on an 87' Targa I went and flew to New York to see by a prominent group which I won't state. Saying the car had OG paint and was in excellent condition which was far from the truth. They thought just because we had flown in from Florida that we wouldn't just leave without the car. Meanwhile they had a beautiful excellent 356 Continental and a 92' Rubystone RS in mint condition. You never know now a days unfortunately. Some dealers/collectors will do anything to sell a car.

Didn't think that was acceptable, I personally don't like bad mouthing anyone but I have told them on multiple attempts without recourse. That same dealership is the headquarters for Pcarmarket.

Looks like the 964 from Hagerty was relisted;
Porsche 964 Carrera 2 1993 - elferspot.com - Marketplace for Porsche Sports Cars
Will be interesting to see how this 964 sells.

No, I am not seamed welded or have lightweight panels/glass....which is why I'd NEVER put an "RS" emblem on my car. But I made this (Have not put it on yet)...while having some fun with a "2" and an "RS".
I reinforced with thin aluminum and epoxy, and blended the letters together. I mean....love it or hate it? I'm wet sanding it in this photo. But to get an idea...

What about making a new badge? I've put (99% Porsche Parts) many Turbo and RS parts on my C2. It is hardly a C2..with 993 hydraulics, Turbo Brakes, RS tie rods, supports, camber plates, on and on and on.
