I know one with 348 miles (559 km) sold for $1.05 million at RM a couple weeks ago.

This wide body looks like a pretty amazing car. I am curious if others think that the repaint in Amazon Green is true to the original colors. Pictures of the exposed paint in the frunk seem very amizonian.

This early car looks nice as well and very low miles. I am surprised none of the comments have inquired about the case replacement at 16,000 miles. What was the catastrophic event that preceded that?

if i were bidding, i'd certainly want to see the quality of the repaint. this could be a big dollar car and the quality of that repaint will likely be the biggest factor on final price.

It is a cool wide body, love the color! However, I am sure to **** a few people off by saying that the interior doesn't do much for me. Unless, of course, Sam Elliott were the winning bidder - that would make sense, partner. <tips hat>

The craftsmanship and attention to detail is over the top. Although I have never seen it in person I have countless photos and build details that were generously shared with me. I had an issue with my cashmere interior in my Amazon Green C2 so I ripped it out and did all black which IMO works much better on the 911. I have a 928 in that combo and the added black accents tone it down just enough. If I had to do any other color with Amazon it would be a nice brown color and texture interior as done so well here. I just think it is an extraordinary example that from someone who is as picayune as myself finds impressive. I know the time and interest put into every detail and if this doesn't see huge money I would be shocked.

I decided to pull the trigger on this one. Flew to Houston to see it in person today and it’s as described or better. Just probably gonna swap out the seats for a set of 964 RS Recaro’s, but still keep the originals. I’m so excited and can’t wait to eventually take delivery and drive her!
Drive it!

The US Carrera cups are like uncut gems. I had one of the parts cars to play with for a while and it is a fun toy. Essentially a RoW RS but with some US flair. Just shows you Porsche could have imported a US variation of the RS if they chose to but decided to offer us the RSA instead.
Drive that one in good health. Also the website is a great resource and there are a number of really nice owners. A lot of these live around me and are very special cars.

Interestingly my 89 C4 also had the case replaced under warranty at a similar mileage due to oil leaks, although my car hit 16k miles many years earlier than this one. I wonder if there was something different about the early 89 cases?

Agreed, much of the interior is great but too much of a good think methinks. They covered everything, a little contrast with horn buttons/vents/etc. left original would add not subtract IMO.
