Nice car but why skip on the sports seats in original order?

These cars are a narrow market. It looks like another I know but he is asking $450k. Ray always has the finest examples and won't touch a car with accident damage. There is a lot of controversy over these and if a Port car is worth more or less than a parts car or a converted car. A friend has a lower mile converted car that was converted back to stock and then back to race spec by Andial. Which is worth more I couldn't tell you. The question is are you buying as an investment, driver or vintage racing?

These US cup cars are quite interesting. They were essentially RoW RS's without some of the features and other features specific to the Cup series which never happened. They had to be street legal to be imported to the US. So they supplied them with some bare bones parts that were intended to be swapped out to race spec by ANDIAL but the series never happened. However seems VERY ambitiously priced even in today's market. My C2 checks the boxes and half the $$$, and I hate the RSA wing (just a personal thing, but for me cleaner is better)

I love the wing myself I hate the manual rack. I added the wing which adds high speed stability and removed the sunroof which reduces weight up high. Now I have the C2 I always wanted. All my 911's have had wings. Always did for 45 years. I would never own a white car unless it was a cup car. Some like vanilla some chocolat I like mine with sprinkles.

Made the tough choice to sell my 92. https://rennlist.com/forums/market/1294141
Ultimate dream is a 71 long hood one day. In the interim may look for more of a high mileage 80s 911 that I won't feel so bad putting miles on.
Will give this a go online for a few weeks and then take my chances on BaT.
Cheers.

^^ all the best with the sale and search. Funny I started with a 71E great car but I could never go back and will always take a 964 over any of the earlier cars.

Like Cobalt I previously had a OUTSTANDING 1970 911E in my fav shade of Tangerine. When I bought it I lived in SF and drives tended to be out to the cool coast. I moved to the Napa Valley in 2016 and the triple digit summer temps and no A/C got me hankering for the most modern "proper" air cooled Porsche a '93 or '94 964 C2. In Feb of 2019 I sold my beloved slick top to a buyer in So Cal and started looking for a 964. My car came up in a broadcast email from the seller of my previous car on Oct of 2020 and I bought it sight unseen a hour after receiving the email. It checked all of the boxes that were key to me and I love this car. I have put 5K miles on it in the last twelve months and it is still lower miles than your's
though not for long. My perspective on this and this is my point for writing is this. These are cars that were built to be driven and enjoyed and it seems that the Porsche community and the market agrees with this. 964's have crossed the block on BAT lately with 100K - 150K and sold strongly.

You have a really lovely car, that you obviously love. Give it a second chance, enjoy it, drive it, grow old with it. Your plan is not flawed, you just have something that will be tough to replace if you change your mind.

Ironic twist in my world; the buyer of my 911E sold it last fall to a neighbor up here (half a mile from my home) l and I have done a couple of Breakfast Club Rallies with him.
