@Jonte Thanks for sharing this journey with all of us. I've watched most of your videos several times over already. I'm curious about your plan for oil breather lines and PCV ventilation. Watching the oil tank video, seems like you will run the standard breather from the crankcase to the oil tank. What about the pre- and post- throttle body hoses? Any concern about pressurizing the tank with blow by if you just plan to vent to atmosphere? Seems like in stock form, the tank needs suction from behind the throttle body to pull excess gasses out of the tank to prevent pressurization.

This is a piece I’m not completely finished thinking about.

I either put a catch tank to the crank case in the back and ventilate that to the air filter.

or I pull a long hose all the way to the tank where I will have to have a catch tank anyway on the breather.

appreciate any insight on this!

Always fun to watch for sure!

One thought: I've found (not a pro by any means so FWIW) that when when welding though holes in a tube to a plug (in your case the double D's) that countersinking the holes in the tubing gives much better penetration to the pressed in parts. With steering parts you want all you can get in terms of connection.

Another awesome episode Jonas. I've used inch compression fittings with metric lines on my old BMW 2002 tii rear brake lines with success so you'll likely be fine. That said I also was looking to adapt the steel fuel lines of the 964 to AN-6 and found both the 8 and 10mm adapters here: https://www.lindseyracing.com/LR/Por...A-COMPFIT.html

Don't think you'll need them but just in case someone else comes across this issue that does not have your skills to adapt the 3/8" fittings....

Epic step! Those heat shrink boots are simply amazing and the level that you brought this up to with the wiring and electrical complements engineering-

So - did you have to build those harnesses more than once or did you get it all right the first time. That is the only thing that I don’t understand about the harnesses is that it seems you have to start over from the beginning if you need to make a change to a part of the system.…?

I did make a mistake in how I spliced the can bus wires that I will have to live with as it's bured deep inside. Not a big thing but will chase me in my nightmares...

It's a bit overkill, but a fun process and becomes part of the design concept and appearance of the build since it's all exposed!

Really nice work. One small suggestion is to abrade the raychem before adding the epoxy; this creates a stronger bond that is less likely to fail.

And you are absolutely right that people have no idea how long this stuff takes.

This step I missed completely. Thanks for the tip!
