from a stock car, totally doable, even keeping heat and AC and adding safety.

I'd settle for that in ground scissor lift.

I wouldn't say it's easily doable. Here's my spreadsheet. If the corner it came from is listed, that means it has been done. I haven't been super diligent about weighing things so not everything is 100% accurate. If you see lbs listed in a nice round full increment, it's probably a guess otherwise it's been weighed in grams. I'm now at the point where things begin to get expensive (sunroof delete etc...)

For what it’s worth I have a huge pile of more stuff on the garage floor now and should post episode 166 in about 2 weeks.

When I say easily that is subjective. I mean, keeping it a street car and not going so nuts you have an uncomfortable POS. About 400lbs is easily doable, its just $ :-)
My car stock weighed about same as yours and is lighter now, with AC and a welded in roll bar. A few things you are missing are various chassis components: lighter brakes, lighter rotors, I removed PS but added an electric pump, lower dash, shocks the stock ones are heavy!), springs (small race springs vs. the stock beasts), bumper components. Stock heat exchangers are BOATS, go with a light header, anyway, it all adds up, wheels (cup1 are heavy), tires (some are much heavier). RS uprights are a lot lighter, various suspension components vs. stock...
It ALL adds up.
Tell you what tho, you can feel it. That few 100 lbs makes a big difference.
Anyway, 2600-2700 is about the limit and keeping it reasonably streetable in my opinion

As a cyclist, it's all about hp/weight, so I'm naturally drawn to lightweight design. I have a bunch of road bikes, and the lightweight ones all feel amazing to ride, so lively. I may not climb any faster on the lighter bikes, but they feel better all the time.
So I want to experience that same feeling in lighted, focused 964... one day.

Remove the glue with gasoline and a rag. That is how I did it with my E36 M3.
Now that I'm older I'm a believer in the easy button. Buy a nice street car and a nice race car. Job done.

Several have driven it. All enjoyed thoroughly. It’s an absolute ripper in the canyons.
