I maybe have an idea for you - there is this german guy doing lightweight stuff for our 964's. Please have a look in his shop - Frank is a very nice guy and his parts are outstanding
Thanks for the great tip! I’ve contacted him
and I’m getting a set for sure!

Next episode coming soon. This time I’m taking a break from the body work and doing up my “all in one oil system”. I knew those 3D scans would come in handy!

Good work Jonte. Can’t wait to see it. Your work and videos to date have been top notch. I worry sometimes that you will look at the number of views on YouTube and decide to give it away. Our cars are 30 years old and there are few mod roads untraveled but you seem to be making a new one. It’s fascinating seeing the use of new technology. Keep it up

Thanks for the feedback and don’t worry the motivation is still there even if I seem to be a bit stuck with the body work for now...

The best and most fun parts are still to come!

I finally got the next part out. Sorry to all of you following that it's taken a while. Summer is here and along with it all the typical distractions...
Let me know what you think about this setup!

I was just in this area on my stock 1990 C4, refurbishing my oil tank and hoses, and thinking there must be simpler way. So I really enjoyed this overview of the oil system and the approach you are taking. I think it is the crank case breather hookup that I am confused about now in your new system.

That one is a bit tricky. My engine is a high rev setup and there is a lot of oil coming through the crank case ventilation at high revs. What I’ll do is to pull a hose along the top bar of the cage through the cabin and then down to the oil tank. This way it’s up high and some of the spray from the crank case will run back the natural way and it’s always clear (nothing gets stuck).

I’ll show this is the next video.

Let's have another go at it. This time we’re doing the interface and concept for electronics and cabling.

Great episode. Loved wiring it up on the board first. Learning a lot watching these.

How you concerned about heat when potentially mounting the ECU in the engine bay?

I still need to do some research on this. The idea with a bulkhead connector is also high up on the list.

I wasn’t able to finish last weekend as I was missing parts... stay tuned for this weekend!

I’ve had more work than I can manage on my day job lately and you can see this on my project velocity...
