Hi Jonte! What is the camshaft housing number for the 993 : Part# 993 105 011 05 or 993 105 011 50(Turbo)?

Default Harness planning done!

It’s been quite a challenge deciding exactly how to distribute the components for best routing as well as best weight distribution.

This is what I cam up with!

Default Another episode done

This last piece might have been the most difficult part of the car I’ve concluded so far considering all the work needed to decide on how I wanted to pull *** signal and wires.

Well that explains why it had been so long since your last video! I'm looking forward to seeing this come to life.

Amazing - well done! This is what it is all about - educate yourself, watch other people do it, tackle it on your own. While satisfying and fun to build, the real satisfaction and pride comes in seeing your work in action. Such a great feeling. Excellent job.

I enjoy watching all of your content, thank you for posting and documenting the work. Better yet, the TONS of work in editing, camera angles, etc.. which I know go into posting this material. Well done.

What an amazing project this has become. I have been watching from the beginning and most of this is over my head but I am loving every minute of it. Thanks for sharing this incredible build with us.

I like the wrinkle finish on the fan and the shroud how it is.
definitely original and cool.
also would love to hear you expand on why you chose not to do ITB.

My logic is based on the control loops and possible simplification that comes with this setup.

At engine idle and with a fast control loop on ignition and a slow one on the air from the throttle you get a very smooth and well working idle despite having a heavy tune regardless if the engine is hot or cold.

I didn’t have this before on my previous engine setup and it drove me mad with tuning idle between super hot engine after a track session and having to add extra throttle during cold start.

It’s been tried on a few engines either using my
parts or with parts from local racing shop here in Sweden and it’s a big difference in how modern and smooth the engine feels.

Response is also very good and I don’t think there is any difference on top power comparing a plenum ITB setup and a single throttle plenum setup as long as the sizing is good.

Of course the secondary idle control for idle air can be addressed on an ITB setup as well, but it requires more equipment than this setup and I kind of like making things as compact as possible.

just my thought and I hope I’m not raising an angry mob by saying this ;-)

Perhaps that’s a similar reason for Singer’s engine builder having done something that looks somewhat similar (I’m only going on appearance - no idea about the technicalities).

The engine is looking great. I’m looking forward to hearing it fire up! A little way off yet I realise. 😂

Keep it up @Jonte , I’m subscribed to your channel (I was watching it before I realised you were on here as well) and I’m really enjoying watching your progress and the way it is presented, including the fact that you don’t only show the successes. 😏👍

Would love to modify a variorum throttle body to work DBW - I think that would killer for a street car - and you have the possibility of porting the lower legs in that intake and using the RS-sized intake adaptors.

I imagine there is much to gain with an electronic throttle body. I've never had the oppurtunity, but are you able to create a non linear curve between the pedal sensor and throttle body? If so, it would seem the disadvantages of maximizing the size would be resolved on light throttle and control.

This is an example of one of the advantages.
