Can’t wait.

Are you putting on a carbon roof? What other carbon bits you throwing on there.

And what’s your ultimate weight target? You may have seen my build. I am trying to keep mine a little more user friendly for the street (I.e. only a half cage, steel doors etc). But also very focused on weight reduction. If I can get mine below 1,175kg’s I’ll be happy. But that’s a complete guess.

Great project and documentation, very entertaining. The intial video was good and a few of your existing mods gave off the hint that the build was going to be serious (you already had half cage, electronic power steering etc).

Look forward to the progress.

The full body kit will be CF.

I have a dream on the total weight target...but I won’t mention it as you’ll all think I’m crazy ;-)

Initially it was not intended to go this far as my car was quite fast already from the start...but slippery slope took me here instead ;-)

Carbon copy it is! It was really a lot of fun making this episode.

I’ve taken our 249kg so far and started with a car that already had bucket seats, lithium battery, no engine tray, no spare wheel, no rear seats, lightweight duck tail. Unfortunately I didn’t have a chance to weigh it before I started though (I regret that now).

As far as the current weight it only has the bare tub with cage and the roof. That should be 192+22+2= 216kg ;-)

I love your videos too! I am down to 1160KG incl. half cage and pretty heavy 8&9.5' Cup I wheels. My car still looks stock - what I always wanted... but I am aiming for a number below 1100 KG. I am looking forward to copy some of your Ideas ) In general my final stage would be 3KG/HP as a ratio... meaning 1100KG needs to meet 36xHP... but i am a poor guy - so my Projekt is ongoing...

Cheers and keep the good work up!!! Looking forward - Tim

P.S: living near the baltic sea in Germany... Lübeck - is there a chance to see you on mainland Europe?

Love Lübeck and the area. When the car is together it’s time for the Ring!

Loved the last video as I've just had a carbon roof installed on mine.
Answered a few queries I had

Keep up the good work

we should schedule a meetup there.. .usually, i am 5 up to 10 days at the ring per year...!

i am in the process of converting my car to C2 as i named it one or two pages before. Because of the "corona shutdown" i escalated to final modifications during the last week and removed the RS-carpet and the glue below the carpet out of the car. Found another 8kg of glue and rest of sound-canceling stuff below the carpet + the carpet itself...

When the C2 conversion is finished - gearbox is still at the gearbox builder - then, the roof would be my next topic... your video was quite cool, because i got a feeling how the edge of the roof at a- and c-pillar could be sanded down, to solve the step in different materials for the final paintshop... my concer was, to solve this with a quite thick amount of filler but that`s not a must, when i see your solution...
