Give John a call. I am at home self quarantining for a medical procedure Friday but he can help your friend just tell him I sent you. They are capable of whatever you need from stock rebuilds to engine sealing or high power custom builds and tuning. They are finishing up 2 M96 engines this week and then have a GT3 4.0L and 4.5L conversion on a 9A1 engine. After that we have an SC rebuild. There is also a back burner '00 996GT3 cup car engine we are converting to a 3.8L and a lot of special upgrades.

What happened to the GT3 engine? I hate to say it but the cost to rebuild of a worn engine vs a rebuild on a blown engine can mean very different things. It all depends what is found once it is opened up.

Never fails, I am out for a week and all the fun stuff happens. Missed you at Pino's and now at Apex. Yesterday they had a new customer with a 993 in for service. I asked my son who the customer was and it ended up being an old friend who dropped off the map about 10 years ago. The last few weeks have been slow but now that March is here the flood gates are opening and the work is flowing faster than ever. Glad to see things picking up, Covid has slowed things quite a bit this past year. I need to get back to work. I have spent the past few days sorting Porsche parts instead of working on my cars.

Just a quick update on my Cup Car so far added 3k + miles since day one and nary an issue. Lots of C&C, one DE's, club meets, and just cruising. As per Anthony's (Cobalt) recommendation she'll be going to Apex Autoworks in North Jersey for basic maintenance and install of full Numeric Shifter/Golden Rod and H6 30 RS AG battery.

hello fellas! still here and just completed a 300 mile roundtrip to PCA's National Office for their "One Mile Review" of the Cup Car. Great staff with hi tech equipments they said it'll take around 30 days to publish. I will post the whole shebang when its ready. A few anecdotes I got; perfect drivetrain package with the Numeric Cables, the sound of the exhaust, very nice clutch engagement, new bar to measure driving engagement in other 964s, felt like my race car said the driver, they still talking about it the next day, etc... Big thanks to Anthony (Cobalt) for the Numeric install and some other goodies unique to the car. The original Plaque with the vin number was also found and installed in the dash where it belongs.

I told Manny he should consider an article in Pano covering these incredibly special and unique cars. As close to an RS as you can get with a US vin and a car they should have imported IMO.

Great Job!! Can we use this for our website? I'd also like to add your car to our "Profile" page. Not many there just yet, but hoping to get more from other members.

Cobalt, they've already done a piece on the USA Cup many years ago, but I agree, they should do another and also promo the registry!

^^ It has been too long and I can't tell you how many I speak with have no idea about these and are 964 owners. This is the RS we should have been offered.

I agree an updated article in pano on the USCC is way overdue, it's a story worth retelling. Kecho has done a fantastic relaunching the website. I've tried to engage PCA but no luck so far, maybe this will help.

I was not impressed with these cars until 2Swoosh left me his for a while (thank you it was an honor) The more I delved into the car the more intriguing the story became and the help of kecho, cup car, Matt, Phil and many other owners I know I learned so much. But it only really came to light once I got up close and personal with it. It is a story worth repeating until everyone truly understands the uniqueness and importance of these cars.

These are truly fantastic machines. I spent a lot of money making my C2 into something that feels like one of these. I think most do the same or similar.

Anthony I think that says a lot to the intrigue of these cars when you are surprised but what they are after going through one, after all these have been around since 1992. I think it's one the most misunderstood Porsche's of all time
