Take a look at Neil's bio some time, if he says changes were made to the cams or to timing then that's what happened.

All the engines were removed from the cars and either had the cam timing changed or cams replaced. This part I cannot remember, which. I can remember the engines had this change done. I am pretty sure I still have all the performance numbers for each engine in a file packed away somewhere.

Steve Becker who now works with me did all of the engine work, Rich Creedon and Eric Bloss did all of the engine in and outs along with the rest of the build work.

Eric still works for PMNA and probably has more info and a better memory.
Good to know. Maybe you can get together with Bob and help him update his article. So do you recall if only the 4 parts cars had the engines sealed? These are the latest topic and cars that very little info actually exists. It would be nice to have a definitive source of information.

One thing I have been trying to figure out was the rear axle differences. Supposedly the RS had a roll pin inserted into the end of the hub would you have any info on that? Also the 20 Turbo S2 motors are another enigma that has been the topic of discussion lately. Those definitely had the cams swapped. Any light you can shed on that would be helpful.

278- 279 seems to ring a bell. I will try to find the file with all of the numbers.

Once the 964 Cup series was cancelled, Rich Creedon and I left Andial as soon as the last engines were dyno'ed. I then started Performance Developments. The best people to find this info would be Springer and or Eric Bloss.

As for rear axle answers, I have no clue about these. My knowledge stops at the rear main seal/flywheel of any engine.

How about the factory Cup race seats???

I saw you post about these in the current BaT thread. Were these ever installed in anything? Are they the same dimensions as the RS seat? mine are the most comfortable bucket I've owned. People often think they are just a pole position, but they aren't.

My father and I owned a cup car a while ago. The car came with 2 sets of seats.
I am not familiar with the RS seats to know if they are the same sizes.

Sacrilege to put those puppies on a air hockey set! Wish I had space in the garage for one....

Those seem to have a wider shoulder than the Pole Positions. Hence a more comfortable fit.

Thanks for the info. Bob states only 4 were sealed. It would be nice to have more updated info. I guess when they finish the registry they hopefully will update some of the stats on these. So much has been unknown up until recently.

BTW I did find out about the axles. They do have a roll pin inserted into the end.

We changed either the cams or the timing, I cannot remember. Somewhere, I should have the dyno numbers post engine work. Its going back many years and the files are buried in boxes, somewhere here. Maybe what i have posted is enough.
