Sounds strange that as reputable as LR is, it would do such a beginners mistake?

I have been emailing them .. They said it looks like I did not brake the engine in the right way ... They also said they will send the Pistons out to get them temp checked on them to see if I overheated the motor. It's clear as day the bores are done wrong

You can tell if you've glazed the walls. Because once the pistons have been removed. you can see where the rings have touched the walls and where they haven't. (top and bottom) and you should be able to see the original finish at the bottom of the walls as it's not as hot there and there wont be any carbon from the combustion.
If the bores look the same all over. - They're to blame as incorrectly finished bores.
If they've changed colour where the rings touch, could be glazed over. But if you still can see their original finish where the rings don't touch. get that inspected an that should be your proof that the bores are done incorrectly.

Drifting
I understand your frustration OP I've been there many years ago when a machine shop here in the UK got something wrong reboring a V6 block, but I would have waited for the independent report before wading in with a name and shame thread.

There comes a point where you have to stop listening and start talking those that know what they are talking about and forget about the people who sell snake oil.
So you over heated the engine and that caused the walls to become shiny? Its always best to keep your mouth shut and be thought of as an idiot than it is is to open it and prove to all that you are.
This has just been proved to be true here. But we all knew that all along.
You are at fault here, but only by where you spent your money , not by what you did after.

Burning Brakes
I had Lindsey build be a 3 liter motor in 2011 and wasn't a happy customer at all. I had over 40% blow by and they said the same thing to me about break-in, which my mechanic, who is a 944 specialist said is pure BS. I put 1500 miles on it when the leakdown was done.
OP- feel free to PM me if you want my full story.
Sorry to hear you're dealing with the same stuff I dealt with.
