Break in is important!
If it's not broken in properly, it can cause your bores to glaze over and probably cause the issue you've got.
either not broken in properly,
incorrect oil used for break in
probably other reasons that i cannot think of.
What rings did they use?
- I've currently got their 'Lindsey Racing rings" in my engine. Work great.
I was very particular while breaking in my engine.
i had 'break in oil' in the motor. ran for 20 mins on 2500 (or near there) RPM to break in the cam.
Changed oil & filter
Ran 2 tanks of fuel of what ever driving. minimal boost. ~700 miles never left it to over run, 4000 rpm limit. On the 2nd tank it would see a little more boost.
3rd tank. new oil and filter. ran great. saw boost. good compression. mines lower because of the cam.

Ouch. Definitely looks too shiny to me. There is a thread that I opened here recently because I think my bores are also too shiny, but yours look more polished than dull.

No freshly treated bores should look like that. Completely wrong.
As for break in, these engines do not require any special break in procedures any other engine does. If done right in the beginning, normal care in running the engine from new will be suffice.
You have reason to ask for your money back or have them pay for all expenses to remove engine, repair engine and any other damages you have incurred. Any shop that knows what they are doing would stand up and take care of a mistake like this. They wouldn't make it in the first place either. If you tell me you have one of their racey Cylinder Heads on top of this you're in deeper dodo than you already are.

Do you know what piston to wall clearance did they use? Maybe it is combination of Wossners bigger expansion rate and incorectly done walls..
