Shawn, did you have to roll the rear fenders? Looks like stockish ride height? I am very impressed with the build quality of Fikse wheels.

Thanks Sid
Really got the car dialed in. Joshua has helped me a great deal getting the tune dead on and it has been a great learning experience for me. Was hoping to hit the dyno tonight but waiting on a suspension component to come in related to my new wheels. I have been making 4th gear pulls and I am ready to make full boost (21-23 psi) runs. Should be at the dyno next Thursday.
Concours in mid October and then a DE at Road Atlanta on 10/26. Cannot wait to hit the back straight at Road Atlanta with this motor.

Good to hear!
Thanks for all your help recently! Sitting on the plane, leaving soon, hope to be back in 18 days, but never know. Let me know how that new sealant works.

Apart from your own broad skill-set Shawn, you're lucky to have some good and capable friends. You've got a very nice car and that should result in some excellent power figures with great drivability. Good luck next week!

Update: I have had a number of different small issues that have kept me from clean dyno runs such that I could not really get a good baseline. Overall however the motor has been solid with NO mechanical issues. With my issues sorted I returned to the dyno last night. I feel pretty good about the tuning as Rogue has helped me a great deal and I really cannot thank him enough. Rogue's Tuner/Logger is awesome and with his help I have become pretty proficient at using it. I finally got pretty comfortable with the power and made over 100 tuning pulls from 15-18 psi. Before I switched the tires I had a number of instances where I broke loose in third gear and even broke the tires loose on the dyno. The setup of the motor as dyno'd last night is shown in the diagram below.
The run shown below is E85 at 20psi. The bottom end performance of this setup is pretty special. The extra stroke makes for LOTS of torque and makes the car VERY fun to drive especially as it is mostly a street car. The top end performance needs improvement. I am definitely pushing against a restriction that is hurting VE up top. I made a run at 22 psi and the motor produced just under 450 hp. Interestingly going from 18 psi to 20 psi I gained about 26 hp/psi. Going from 20 psi to 22 psi I gained about 9 hp/psi. No real reason to go over 20 psi with this setup but the setup is going to change real soon. I have every intention of meeting my original goals.
The Plan:
- Swap out the cam back to turbo cam, dyno the comparison (next week)
- Install extrude honed intake (thanks Eric) and install 65 mm throttle body, dyno the comparison (in two weeks)
- Install a CEP cam, dyno the comparison (late October)
- Install new ultra high flow head done by Michael Mount, talked to Michael and this will be done over the Winter. Dyno the comparison.
- Install FRF headers, dyno the comparison.
That is all for now...
