LOL!

Even after all my bitching about gold color I ordered one as well. It's only a few bucks and I figured that alone was compelling enough.

Besides I can always give the car to my mom, Saturday Night Fever is her favorite movie.

Got mine too. $45 freight to Owensboro, KY. Well worth it no matter what the color.

I look at it this way, if I ever sell the car I can say it comes with two tops and one of them is a Saratoga.

Got up at 4:45 to start calling at 5:00 AM my time, I'm 3 time zones away. Call answered at 5:00 sharp as soon as the voice mail kicked in to day mode. If they're serialized I got #1, but who really cares At least I have mine, just waiting for the rape charge from Fedex as it's coming to the west coast of Canada. 45.00 for Conus.

They can only legally do that if they offices in your state.

Had to cancel my order due to rent and stuff coming up, thought I could squeeze it in but the manager at Pilkington was kind enough to tell me to contact him directly when placing my order, which to me speaks very highly of their customer satisfaction and their integrity. I'm excited they are making these and can't wait to get mine.

I agree grey would a better match with the rest of the glass on the car, but my original bronze one is very dark and at least on a black car you would not notice the color unless someone pointed it out.

Thanks Pilkington and the RL'ers here who made it happen. I look forward to (hopefully) less rattling and wind noise.

I tried to see if we could get a combined shipping, but as I mentioned, I never got a reply

Re sales tax - actually a number of states have added 'e-fairness' legislation. This requires online merchants to charge local sales tax to their residents, regardless of whether they have local operations or not. I know Cali and NY have it, and my home state of GA as well. Can't speak for any others.

Blame amazon.

Yea, I was a bit bummed about the bronze as well, but what choice was there ?
Besides, I am color blind anyway

Yes, you are correct but this was not technically an online order .....
I think this would not apply ( we didn't buy it from a website )

Fair point. I believe mail order / phone order counts as well, but I am not sure. All the lobying was aimed at the large online retailers.
