I used the dial indicator to find TDC and then used a feeler gauge on the block to measure.
It gave me a good enough number to know I'm safe

if the piston rocks in the bore you mark the crank with the piston down 3mm each way then bisect the 2 marks .
I love these "nah all rong" comments sitting in my chair while my engine sits in bits .. lol

Lot's of time consuming stuff at this stage. Modifications to they cable harness, fuel system, intake etc..
But it's getting closer!

Hehe, it's larger than it looks on the picture. I have very short runners!
No need for more torque. It just breaks trans-related stuff and too much sudden torque spins the tires. I'm building a fast car

A plus is that the intake doesn't sit over the turbo anymore so I can shield it off effectively. That turbo outlet angle is the only way to do it since my intake runs so much forward. I run "reversed" IC-pipes though so it's pretty ok.

Engine is started. Full oil pressure, good vacuum and good throttle response.
Now it's only about 1001 things left to do before the first test drive..
