Default Project 2010...

It's gonna be busy winter. Here's what's on the to-do list

Engine
A 3.0l 16v turbo engine will be built. Based on a 968 engine with variocam in place. The goal is a reliable and responsive engine. Will be running a little higher compression and use my GT3582R 0,82 a/r so the powerband should be 3500-4000 rpm long. Power? I really have no need for more than 500 bhp and that should be doable with reasonable boost.

Fuel system
* 1 044 pump isn't enough when running E85 so I might do a solution with 2x Walbro's
* Upgrade pump wiring

Suspension and mounts
Lot's to do here... But major upgrades will have to wait.
Have had oversteering problems at turn-in which have forced down my corner entry speed at the track. I run fairly soft springs, 450/650 lbs.
* New control arms in chrome moly with angled ball joints
* New springs, 650/750 lbs
* Cornerweight & new alignment
* Semi-solid engine and transmission mounts

Brakes
Have had troubles with overheated big reds. Stopping power is phenomenal with the big reds and PFC 01 front PFC 97 rear. But I was boiling the brake fluid. I will try these mods next season, hopefully it will solve my problems
* Brake ducts inplace of fog lights. 3" hose to brake disc backing plates
* A special fibre isolating material between pistons and pads

Interior / safety
* Full cage from Heigo. Poweder coated, not black not white
* Schroth Profi III 6 point harnesses
* Will renew the seat bases to get better position

Exterior
* Install air vents in hood
* 968-mirrors in fibreglass
* Brace ducts in front

Gauges
* STACK wbo2
* ProSport 60mm peak/warning-gauges for:
- Water temp
- Oil temp
- Oil pressure
- EGT
- Fuel pressure
- Turbo pressure

That's about it!

I think you should be able to find a better brake fluid than that.

Based on the "good things come to those that wait" theory, this will be the best head ever....

The head guy is down to worring about the last couple of CFM matching between cylinders....

Duke, I've been running Endless brake fluid (OEM fluid on the GT3 cup cars). I've been happy so far.

OK, Fredriks ex. black 951 here in Finland is in real nice shape. If i remeber correctly they have dynoend over 400 hp from it. It has special Holset charger and Dutch made KMS standalone system installed.

Under Fredriks' ex 951 hood:

Here's similar installation in red 951

As much as I would like to start another project, the above plan is for the Hunter. It kind of evolves into a new version

As much as I would like to blame the fluid, it comes down to my lack of cooling. I've been running very hard on the track with decent power (straight line acceleration at the track similar to factory GT3 Cup).
The RBF600 has close to 600 F dry boiling point. But I've heard nothing but good things about Endless. A quick google showed that their RF-650 is used by Brawn F1 too. Guess I just found something better

Great to see that car is doing good! Please mail me if you have any other pics of the car in its current state. Would be great fun to see.
