That looks great Duke!! I think that will work very well especially if you vent the nose cone.
I've noticed a lot of heat coming out of my D9 vents too so whatever we can do to help with removing heat from under our hoods is a big bonus.....even in countries under 6 month snow blankets!

I once had a small oil spill at the front of my car, and you could see the oil being sucked out. Looked like a wind tunnel.

When you say best with the bottom completely closed Hans do you mean the undertray as in more of a ground-effects setup, or some sort of direct ducting that can channel through the fmic?

I think Hans is talking about a sealing undertray under the engine, thus having a single exit path for all air that enters the engine compartment. That also creates downforce since the air exits above the car instead of underneath.

Here's a few other pics.
A new small washer tank installed. Saves a few grams too
Lots of caster possible with the new control arms!
Cage done. New Schroth 6 point belts waiting to go in.
Here's the rear seat, don't think I posted that earlier.
And last pic shows how your car might look on a regular morning in Stockholm City

No more stock 968 pistons
But to be fair, it was a rod that broke. And some of the others were bent too..
It's a Saab 9-3. But from that angle I can definately understand your question!

Thanks guys.
The crank was installed first, but I didn't finalize the girdle until after the piston/rods were installed. That is just to get better access to the rod caps without the scraper and pickup/drain tubes in the way.
I have new chain and pads on the shelf but I'm on a tight schedule to get it done for a track event so I will change that later on.
Lol yeah I suppose I went all in on the 574. I didn't intend to put it on the innermost part but no moving part got 574 on it so it's fine.
Yeah the lime green I got my cage powdercoated in would look amazing on the engine too. I will put it on my future improvements list
And that list is way long. Right now I'm not looking to get everything into it's final spec. First priority is to get the engine running, and when/if it's broken in without issues and managed to do the first 650 km weekend/track trip I can focus on the little things
