Well no progress on our own engine as of late. We have been a bit busy here. 2 week surf trip over the christmas break. Patricks car is getting stripped and painted. Another customer Fred is getting an engine overhaul. and we are in the progress of another 16v 3.0L for our customer Nik. Niks car is a bit of a street/ track car. Its being built with motons CS, Racers edge control arms/ billet hubs and and all Racers edge solid bushes. 80% LSD. We have a custom Vitesse turbo kit, Wossner pistons, Arrow rods, SFR intake. Racers egde brake adapters, 928 GTS calipers. lots of other bits and pieces to go with it. We need to finish all these cars before i get onto our own project.

It will also be interesting to see how the S5 turbo goes on Nik's car and then you can make your decision which way to go on yours. VR S3 or S5. Perhaps John might tell us his opinion?
After seeing that Aussie racecar with the 'small' GT30 on it, maybe your S3 will be great?

Getting close with this one David. there will be some small things to do to get this fired up. I am using a 951 DME and KLR on this S2 so i have to change some wiring going to the dash and also change some around the Fuse box. Should be quite simple. The 044. Then we will install a 60/80 LSD when its up and running. im sure im missing a few parts still needing install.

The funny thing is that the owner, Nik, races a fairly stock S2 that let's face it, probably could do with a bit of a refresh. He thinks that he's going to keep racing that and that this will be his GT road car that might see the odd club track day. I can't wait to see his face when he gets this thing onto the track. He won't know what hit him having never really driven turbo cars before. I want a camera pointing back in at him haha.

Started to make the intercooler pipes this afternoon. I have not done much Aluminium welding so the welds arnt perfect, but i am quite happy with the results. they still need to be finished off with the BOV/boost sense line and idle hose to be done.

Hey they look great Sean!! The bends are a lot less aggressive than I thought they might have to be. Looks super smooth and should have nice flow to them. Can you test the welds against leaking though? They look great from here.
I dare you to wear your welding mask into the bank. See what happens just for fun!

The welds are leak proof thats for sure. there is plenty of stick on there. I could have just butt welded them together and it would have been strong enough. overboard a little. i will rub back the pipes and polish them anyway.
I tried that bank dare your talking about this arvo, i recommend it to everyone, the bank clerks we throwing money at me. its great
