Mine seems to be doing better every day I drive it. So, time to jinx myself and add it to the list.

I just put on the LR intake. I was doing it so if I turn up the boost I do not have to worry about the intake flow rate. It did require me to bump the AFR at idle and it is getting a little more torque in the lower RPMs.

I don't do Dyno runs. I just take it to the track and see what Traqmate tells me for lap times. I will be going in a couple of weeks so I will see how it works. It does really open up the turbo area. I am tempted to make a heat shield for the top to the turbo now that I have a little room for one.

Default Ok mine is running now.

Needs a lot of tuning, nearly four years from planning to first firing.

Cam: ?!? When I bought the long block from vette951S here in 2008 he said it was a "custom grind with .500 lift and 114 lobe separation (Receipt says based on PHT CS-19)", but when I looked at it the part number on the end was 9R, the late NA camshaft. Is it a regrind? I don't know.

Here is the first attempt at starting:

rluciano -- great looking motor! You're on the list! How is the Link G4? Did it fire up right out of the box?

Great engine specs, it will be a beast when tuned.
Your camshaft is a Milledge cam. The model designation matches and he marks them as 9R even though they are ground from new blanks.

With the startup map provided by Dave McGrath, it fired up right out of the box.

I actually thought there were factory blanks and were stamped as such. Then the custom grinds took place?

front: 235x40x18 zr nittos
rear: 265x35x18 zr nittos

10 & 20 mil spacers respectively.

I found the rims with brand new tires for $1250. When i bought them i thought they might be 2 or 3 piece, but actually they're forged. If they weren't so damn heavy i'd take em to the track lol..

Once i wear those tires down, I plan to go 245 or 255 front and 275 or 285 rear. we'll see.

Right now, I'm just glad to have those nasty cups off

also, as a side note, Tim just got a new mustang dyno and i had to throw it on there. We were only able to get 2 pulls in as my ignition switch (which has since been replaced etc) decided to literally have a meltdown and fry some of the harness.

If i remember correctly, at 15psi we were getting 332 rwh and 445 rwtq, 4th gear pull. I think with some addtional tuning, and a new john miledge cam will sort it out. Still considering the turbo crank vs the n/a that's in there now.

I figure at 19psi, it'll be right around where i want it, with some padding even..

it's my first attempt at a video, but you're welcome to see what it sounds like. This was made when i first got the car back, so the belts are tight and it still has my old cups on it..

Would anyone on here happen to know precisely the pocket size of the original Mahle/Andial 104.5mm turbo pistons?

I did not measure mine when I assembled the engine...
