Dan & Gabe, thanks for the pics/ideas. I had planned on mounting them with dzus fasteners inside the body panel (so you'd have to remove the wheel to get the bodywork off). I actually referenced both your threads when I was considering going this route. If either of you have more detailed photos I'm all ears to suggestions. I know how I WANT to go about mounting, but I'm always open to suggestions.

Gabe, are those Speedline Mag's on that white car? DAMN!

Damn I wish my chassis was further along so I could help out more, but mine are being "glued" on anyways so they'll be a part of the chassis when its done. I'll go through my 8,000 GTR/P pics and see what I can find for ya.

On the wheels, I'm not sure but I think so. The site the car is on is all in Swedish or Nor. I can't tell the difference, too stupid.

Welcome to the GTR/P Family.

I dont have a history of bouncing off things Tim, just burning up tires.

Did all the cutting, drilling and measuring (not in that order!) and got the fronts mounted up in a couple hours.

Moment of truth!

I was literally standing there saying "This is either the stupidest or craziest thing I've ever done to my car."

Rear (just driver's side) mocked up. Finally got to figure out what I'm going to do for rear wheels, which I think will be 18x12 ET 0 The front fenders were specifically mounted a touch wide to allow hot air to vent through them.

Mike... did you ever check if those wheels are 15x7's or 16x7/8's? Will you be able to use them for holding your car off the ground?

Also... any ideas what your car weighs? I'm trying to figure out just how light you can make a 944 (without modifying the 'frame'... just glass, bodywork and interior).

Scott, I honestly havent look at them. I THINK I'm going to be all set without them due to a few acquisitions. But I'll keep you up to date. I have no idea what the car currently weighs, last time it was turbo and on the street and weighed it was 2670, but that still had an AC compressor, all the sound deadening, metal rear 1/4 panels, full power doors (mirrors, etc), stock wiring, hvac, and so on and so on. I'm VERY curious to see what it weighs now, but I dont want to venture a guess. I'll be moving it to my house in the next week or two and will weight the trailer with and without the car on it to get a good idea of where I'm at. That'll be everything sans engine, cooling system, and turbo system.

Oh, that, lol.

The bumper didnt fall off, it was still on the car, the splitter was just ripped in half so I took the whole thing off, stuff the bumper into the hatch, the splitter hit a trash container on I81 somewhere and I booked it home from Philly with no bumper and a stickered up car trying to beat sunset. IIRC that was somewhere just outside Scranton.

Mike, awesome dude - you'll have to cut the wheel tub though. Can you take a pic from the rear? That would be hot.

Yeah, I know just hadnt gone that far yet. Oddly I just did this exact same thing to my 240z. Stupid tires..... I would LOVE to get a pic from the rear, but it'll have to wait till both flares are on and I go to move the car out of my father's garage and over to the warehouse I rented by my house.

It's actually going with Kyle's supras. Still plenty of parking at the house, my car just isnt going there till spring. Kinda like how my 240 is at work, not my house.
