Okayyyy, here's today's photo update.
Lots of stuff that should be in the rear of my car. Quaife is going out to be remanned (to be safe) and then sold here on rennlist. Broken gearset (replaced by 968 transaxle which is in the background), fuel tank (being replaced by fuel cell), and... oh yeah, that's my floor.
Oh yeah, cut out the floor, and spare tire well. I still have LOTS of trimming to do, and some more cutting.
And I leave you with a random photo of me doing some construction at a friend's apartment.

Mike, nice job pal. You sure are really hacking away with this project. Are you sure this isn't a 100 % restoration? Damn dude, you are a workaholic on that cars of yours, kudos to you. Just keep warm with a space heater.

Is that ANOTHER AIR splitter? I'd love to see your 'collection' one of these days.

Hehehe, I'll weigh the floor sections tomorrow. I'm also cutting out the rear seats. Yes, ANOTHER AIR splitter, this is the one getting reinforced though. Aluminum and carbon kevlar. I'll have photos of that when it happens (dropping it off at a friend's place to do the kevlar work tomorrow).
Space heater? I've been working with a coat off all week, it's balmy out! (37 degrees hahahaha). Rob, nah, not 100% more like just making things easier for me to work on.

Explain to me one more time why you're destroying an otherwise happy 951. All I know that was wrong was the tranny had been shredded. Last time I checked, swapping trannies didn't require the cutting of floors.
ftw
ftw

I just dont see restoration as the correct term for it. When I think restoration I think 60's euro or old American Muscle, not an '80's pcar I'm cutting up and making into a track car that sees some street use. But that's me.
