Nah I meant putting it into a smaller sports car. Seems like it would be more fun.

All depends on the individual's goals and definition of fun! Doing an engine swap sounds fun to me no matter how you angle it... Plus, he's kind of turning this old-school e34 into a semi-m5 like car.. lots of power, but lots of room and luxury (relatively speaking). Sounds fun as hell to me

I've already got the 944 mentioned in this thread, plus a stockish turbo with some suspension mods. The last thing I need right now is another sports car. Besides I AutoX another friend's S2k and go drifting in another friend's 350zTT. Something lux. is a nice change. And it's faster than any M Series car short of an e60 M5 or new M6.

I'd never find myself saying that but I'll pretend like I understand.

From a road rally standpoint I would think you would want to be in a comfortable car anyway.

Yea cruising in a rally with a luxury car in comfort would be nice. Also the Ls1 is dirt cheap to fix or mod copared to the motor that was in it

After going in an open wastegate, all spherical bushing car with solid drivetrain mounts and a stripped interior, and then in a caged twin turbo car. Yes, some luxury will be amazing.

So this has been one of the most rediculous couple of days ever (in terms of deals). Picked up a set of 968 Cup I's for $120 with slight rash. Got a set of BSA 18x10's 18x8's from a Rennlister, $280 shipped, and got a call from a friend who said they found a set of Porsche wheels in the basement of the volvo dealer from some guy who left them after upgrading to a Carrera GT... $100. Which happened to be 993TT Twists, 18x10. Absolutely amazing. I dont have room for 3 sets of wheels without tires where they wont get damaged right now so I had to put them in my room with a few other parts that I have sitting around (Euro pistons, my ITB stuff and my S38B36 cylinder head).

You may have gotten the wheels cheap but its gonna cost you to put tires on them all

Oh, measured wrong, Twists are 18x11 and 18x8.5, and BSA's are 18x11 and 18x9
